I moved on from being an nostalgic Genwunner, with or without Jontron's review on Nuts n Bolts but Rareware fans had to move on as well since stuff from the 90s and 2000s are long gone and had to let it go that there's no point of Rare going back. It's ironic when he called himself "TheSonicSegaGamer" talking about Nintendo
I remember when I was watching the movie Godzilla 1985 and they show a clip of Bambi meet Godzilla and Godzilla step on Bambi it was a short clip and then the movie cause I had it on VHS back then in the 80s you can buy VHS and you can rent them
I think what Confused Matthew is confused about is that a movie is not pure efficiency, it is artistic... it is a story, a journey. If Simba had no personality flaws at the start of the movie, there would be no way for progress to be made later on. There needs to be contrast. What Matthew wants is a picture of the characters at their most virtuous, smiling, no conflict. Like the twitch commenter says, he wants the cliffnotes, not the artistic experience of the movie.
5:06 The point of this scene was to show Anton is just as vulnerable as any other human being. The movie before this scene showed Anton as an unstoppable killing machine, seemingly invincible, but the fact Moss managed to wound him and survive their encounter in the hotel shows that Anton is not invincible. It also shows how the encounter wounded him emotionally, you can see him visibly angry during the whole scene.
Confused Matthew needs to come back as a right-wing grifter channel/daddy figure for fatherless conservatives and bitch about Disney again. He’ll get 300K subscribers overnight and be on EFAP and Critical Drinker’s podcast week.
