Hi mate im currently doing the ADV version of this by chance did you find a replacement part which allows the wings to be fully swept without cutting it? thanks.
Unfortunately no and I've tried a few things including black latex gloves (cut in to a strip and attached from the inside), same with paint brush bristles from a decorators paintbrush but neither worked. I think there's a resin aftermarket piece you can buy but because the real thing is a sleeve that still doesn't look right. It would be nice to see a material piece like latex that glues on right. I'll probably give it another go in future but if you have success with anything let me know pal
Hi ya thanks for the video, got the platinum kit with loads for photo etch so working from two sets of instructions, was unsure about which shade of red I should get but found routmaster red from zero paints which are brilliant. Just got to be really accurate with fitting, one bit out and nothing will fit , hopefully not pulling my hair, just taking it slowly.
Hiya Paul. Loads of dry fitting mate and where you foresee a fit issue there will be one so yep, bags of patience. It's not a terrible fit but there's certainly some mmmmmmm moments which gets you skipping back thru the instructions. Offside stair case is a noticeable head scratcher for example. It took me a long time to build it because I kept having to walk away then go back with a clear head. Once you get it something like it's a really cool model. Watch the straight decals on the rear, (Rod Stewart and the other side). They don't go round a curved surface correctly, and the big museum decal takes some doing. I don't think anyone has built this without a few issues and there's plenty of 'it'll do' bits. Great colour choice, I've used zero paints before, went down lovely. So yeah, baby steps, look forward thru the instructions to see why xyz go there etc. Good tip Good luck pal
@@7Markandrews thank for the advice, I knew the decals could be a handful after working on the seating, I seem to be one seat decal sort , where you or have I lost one ?
The vortex generator transports energy into the boundary layer from the outer flow, and is used mainly for control of already separated flow rather than for the prevention of separation on wings, diffusers, or bends in channels at subsonic and supersonic speeds.
Great show, my top five are Spitfire, Mosquito, Lancaster, Mustang & FW190 for WW2. Modern are Harrier, Tomcat, F18E/F super Hornet, Tornado & F4 Phantom. Good luck to Craig on hosting the show next time WW2. Panther Sherman King Tiger Comet Tiger 1 Modern Challenger Merkava Abrams Leopard 2 Centurion. Cheers JL
Excellent build and wonderful video..Your sub assemblies and finishes on them looked spot on and brought the whole build together.. I got the Tamiya 1/35 PBR Pibber last year and is on this years build radar..Though this video is on a different “boot”subject,it’s give me the tap to get a move on..Be a good summer build project,actually🤔.. Thanks again for your video and all the best😃👍
Nice one. Fancy that one myself now I've built this. Best of luck, and if you want to join the clubs live page on Facebook feel free. I'll be chatting about members work on the livestreams. Look for sesku models live 😁
Are these made in China now? That's probably why the quality of the parts is so bad. Also, what did we expect from Revell? 🫤 I bought the kit, then found the video... i should have looked for the video first. 😂
This is absolutely fantastic! You guys turned out and showed up for a great cause. You’ve inspired me to get my club to do something similar.Well done one&all!
Fantastic build. Great advice on the deck"How the frig are ya gonna paint the stripes" 😂 Do all Italeri models make you drill out locating holes? 100 on the deck 😮
Bless your huge heart, well done Mark and to everyone who took part, it was our pleasure to support you Mark and your post in the group will stay until the end, fantastic total so far 🤗🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️
I do talk too much, it's a really poor trait of mine. The thing is, I start a story in my head and off I go. The old grey matter just keeps engaging, THEN I forget where I am in the story, THEN my brains thought I'd something else and on top of that I then start another chapter before I've remembered what I was talking about 2 chapters back ! I'm waffling. The videos are 99% descriptive as I've read human nature, men find descriptive the best form of learning, you see looking at me building this thing would be boring as hell so I just sit and natter. Did I mention in having a hair trim tomorrow. See, she likes it a bit longer than I like it but the MRP went down a treat. Sorry for side tracked there. Anyway, thanks for watching. Is that an elephant as your profile pic. Awesome. Back in the day we moved to Africa, mate talk about huge animals. Those elephants, bloody huge they are....
Great update Mark, love the two ladies in the pink curlers 😂, well done lovely for smashing past your goal keep up the great work your doing, big shout out for you later when i go live 🤗❤️
Nice build that desert camo looks great. Ive also built a few of these revell F-15E which is a much more craken kit than the C variant from them. Keep up the good work & Happy scaling 👋.
Good choice on the H&S Evolution. I’ve tried Badger and Iwata, just couldn’t gel with them. Had my H&S Evo for 15 years. I’d buy another one tomorrow if I needed to replace it.
Seems to be OK Andy but there's a significant difference between the Infinity and this one in trigger travel. The Infinity there's a certain amount, not huge, of travel that sort of prepares you for what's about to happen but this one is instant. It'll take some getting used to, instant paint on pull back, let's hope I can retrain my brain into accepting it
Ah Shane, I do post build reviews and chat. Trust me, had I the time to shoot a build video then spend countless hours editing I would. Unfortunately, wife, kids, job, Model Club, me time, lack of editing skill, lack of know-how, lack of patience means I simply can't. I love watching build videos as much as the next guy, and most of us can only dream of turning out pieces to their high standards, but my channel is more towards building a kit and chatting shit about it's +/- areas, so other builders can learn about how the kit goes together, instead of getting sucked in by awesome artwork, thinking they can emulate that picture or the end result. A lot of videographers who do modelling are in a position where as they've retired, have enough time/ money, don't have other huge commitments, so they can dedicate that time into their videos. To be honest, it's not the actual filming that takes the time, it's the editing. For me, a 49 minute video can take up to 5 or 6 hours to edit, and my videos aren't anywhere near the quality you see from the pro's, but again, when I'm sat editing and my lad is saying dad come and play darts with me, (he's 12), or my daughter is asking with help with her degree, or the wife is asking for a foot rub, well 5 or 6 hours editing is all I can do. Mate, sorry to disappoint with my content, but it's what I do in the time I have. Ps, I did built it, it's right there on the thumb nail dude 😉
