Nothing inside my car but I got rid of this after less than a year and went to their showcase model (video coming soon). I had issues with leaks because if there is anything under the material when you drive on it, it will create a puncture. I used a lot of gorilla tape!
I really enjoyed your video & your kids are great! The Fister exhaust is appealing. My wife & I bought our ‘99 Cab during the pandemic and have had fun making incremental improvements. When we bought it it looked exactly the same as yours (arctic silver, black top, Boxster Red interior) but with turbo twist wheels. We updated the tired leather with new Boxster Red leather and replaced the top with a new one in red. Ours originated in Pennsylvania.
That was/is an issue and I will be posting two new videos to discuss that. I don’t care that dual clutch is faster, it just doesn’t feel the same and you have to completely change how you think when you drive.
Any leaks from your top taking your cab thru the car wash? I recently purchased a 996 cab and am afraid to do an auto car wash.. Also, my 996 happens to have the sport tips, but it sounds louder than any other stock 996, but not as loud as your Fisters. I like your sound, especially at higher revs. I love the kids in cheap cars coming up on me too! 😂😂 I sometimes rev., like I'm going to go, then go really slow as they are a quarter mile ahead and like where is he?.....then I pass them at the next light!😁😁 . Congrats. Hope all your error codes stay gone! Also the interior color. Beautiful. OH WOW, I see you're in Jersey too! Me as well. X-10 :)
996 cabs are notorious for breaking, specifically near the top of the door entry, it will buckle and look like someone tried to pry it open. When I got it fixed, I saw three other 996s all with the same thing. My suggestion is to bring a small towel to the car wash!
Looking to do the same thing. I own a 99 996 with the exact same color combination as you have. How is the dye holding up for you. Has it faded out any? Keep the videos coming!
I wouldn't have a problem with the PDK in the 991. I'd still prefer a manual, but it would not be a deal breaker. Now, for 996 or 997.1, I would not want a Tiptronic. While the Tip isn't awful, the PDK is sooo much better!
I couldn’t send them because the local shop modified them and Fister doesn’t accept them when they were previously modified. I ended up paying around $1500.
Congrats and welcome to the 991.1 family. I purchased a 2015 Carrera S 991.1 in September 2022. I couldn’t be more excited to own my first Porsche! Hope to see you at Mainline C&C this Spring. Enjoy your new 991!
Congrats on the 991. Brave man buying a black car, I’ve learned my lesson with dark cars. I have a Yellow 997, so I’m a little biased against both the 996 and 991. If I had to pick, I’d take 991 because of the engine improvements.
Thanks for watching! I still like it a lot. I only use it for the winter months and the only frustrating thing is that it is not easy to zip and unzip. You have to get down really low and because of the weight of material, it makes it difficult to maneuver. Because of that, once I put it in there, I usually don't take it out unless I really miss driving my Porsche and want to let it run after sitting for several weeks. I just ordered a new product from them and we will be posting a review of it later in January.
What part of PA are you from. I'm interested in the car capsule for my 2003 mustang gt. Convertible. Was wondering how it holds up in the snow and if you get any mice or anything in your car after sitting for the winter. And was it very expensive
Really love the Fister exhaust on my 996! Best modification for the money. It’s not too loud until you give it some gas and there’s no drone on the highway. Since I live in Newtown, I recognized some of the roads you’re driving haha.
Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!!!
@@DadnCheeseCars canceled my model 3 after being pushed back another 3 months. Ordered an EV6. Should get it next month. Heard so much about the poor quality and having to bring a 3 page checklist to delivery.
Sounds a bit sportier and a bit louder. You should have called the shop after you first got home, and explained that you weren't 100% happy, and you'd like the cross pipe (original gundo) done as well.
I did call them and they said they never liked doing the Gundo because they never heard the difference. I just bought the Fister and it sounds awesome.
