Great video, Csongor! Thanks so much! This is the first time I've tried using a script, and your video explained it really well. Ultimately, I want to control the slat angle of my Venetian blinds using my Shelly 2PM Gen2 device, similar to how it's done with the Gen3 devices that just came out. Hopefully, I'll find a way to make this work. Have you tried this yet, or do you have any suggestions on how to implement it? Thanks again!
I will be waiting for the homebridge video :) for some reason when I configured the stats of the devices are not getting updated in home assistant (home assistant has its own dedicated host)
What model would be appropriate to control garage door motor? I need dry contact zigbee relay that does not pass current to device. Only to act as a momentary switch that connects garage door motor wires for 0.5 seconds (inching mode)
Thanks, what do you mean? This is Matter over Wifi example, Wifi is how it connects to the Matter Hub. When you add it to your Matter Hub the hub takes care of sharing the wifi details to the device, you don't need to do it.
Hello Csongor and thank you for the great videos! I have a couple of questions. First is - in which video do you explain the looping in the scripts? And the second is - can we run the scripts in the background? Thanks in advance!
I replied to you in email :) I don't have a video with such looping. But in all my scripts the code starts with looking for the SAP session to connect to, and usually there is a separate Sub to execute the script. You can create a script which runs the report and the variant is passed as a parameter to this Sub. And you can call this sub 3 times with different variants. And the code will execute in sequence. Background processing: you can do it. It is not really background processing, but when record a script from the gui, the first list is always shows xxxx.Maximize, which makes the SAP GUI screen fullscreen. There is a xxxx.Iconify method that minimizes the SAP GUI window. The script will still work, but not in front of the user. Just replace Maximize with Iconify. Sorry I don't have access to a SAP system right now, I think the method is called Iconify but I am not 100% sure.
Yes, this is over wifi. In my previous video when I reviewed the new portait NSPanel Pro, I made a call between the two. Definitely work as an intercom. Connection takes 15-20 seconds to start. I would love it there would be an option so the device you call pick up automatically.
Mentioning the eWelink Remote in the iHost, as it acts in a different way to device pairing it's given me a nice solution for an old problem i.e. a light using a smart bulb, that a visitor switches off at the wall switch. Bridge the live wiring in the wall switch, use a S-mate in the switch box and then set up a scene that reverses the light bulb state when switched on or off.👌
Hi Csongor! thanks for all your help I was trying to control a DUALR3 in order to be able to view the voltage it receives. I would like to switch it off whenever the voltage is more than 248 volts, which is not possible to do in the ewelink app since the limit is 240 volts in the OPS section. I have tried getting all the information of the DUALR3 in the node red but I do not see information regarding power consumption. D you know if it is even possible? or maybe another workaround? Thanks!!!
I made a video on how to use OpenWeatherMap data in Node-Red and from Node-Red I create these virual wind speed sensors. So it is not a physical sensor. I don't think iHost supports any at the moment.
Until now I have not understood the usefulness of this device. I also hear that you can't connect to her via the internet. Maybe I 'm wrong. It would be useful if it supported 3-4 ethernet connections and correspondingly the bridges RF and Zifbees were connected supported ethernet and you could connect them all together to have a stable network without disconnections. And It would be useful if it was IR hub too.
Yes, it is completely local. In the docker menu, there is a tailscale plug-in, with that you can create a VPN connection back to your iHost. I think this is a safe way to access the iHost, but needs a more work from you to set it up.
Everytime the NSPanel Pro (latest update) receives a software update alert, it disables the Zigbee devices immediately. So if I am with friends and press the SNZB-01 button to activate a light it will not work until I update the NSPanel Pro firmware. This is embarrassing and ridiculous. The SNZB-01 appears offline till I update.
I'm using it for my power gate. I realized the 433RF signal is very weak. I'm using the same remote, I used to be able to open my gate from more than block away, and since I removed that old receiver and installed this, I can't even open it in my car while being outside the gate, I need to open the window to get the signal out. Is there a way to extend the antenna?
I am not sure. These RF antennas length need to match with the frequency. Maybe you can straighen the coiled up antenna and extend it out of the case? But I am not sure.
@@csongorvarga you mean I just pull it ? but the antenna is coiled up, and connected to 2 points. All the other RF receiver videos I've watched only have one point of contact. So the length of the antenna is important?
Szia.

The delay on the scene with sensor is probably due to the temp sensor sending signal each 60 secs so it depends on where you are when u start the scene...u should try the same with mqtt to see if it is like that
Detached relay is a godsent for smart bulbs. You can keep them always powered and use the switch signal to control them. I really want to test it with zigbee group binding, because that would make my setup virtually unbreakable - the switch will work even if the coordinator dies.
Intetesting... You mean that you would keep the relay on all the time, and if the coordinator dies you can still connect the relay and control the light with the switch and relay? But if the coordinator dies you will loose connection to the mini as well to disable the detached mode. I don't see the advantage.
@@csongorvarga Smart bulbs need to be powered all the time, even if they are off. Once you decouple the relay you can control the smart bulb with whatever home automation platform you use: switch on > light on, switch off > light off. But if you use zigbee group binding and link the (now decoupled) relay with the bulb, it skips the coordinator altogether - no middleman that can break.
I wish they make some 2 gang and 3 gang variants because in reality, many of our light switches are 2 gang and even 3 gang and putting two or three minis in a box is very challenging
Sonoff Dual has 2 gang, but it is not as small as this. I think in this form factor, only 1 relay can be fitted. I have not seen 3 gang version at all, I think there is just not enough space to fit all the required electronics.
@@csongorvarga i have successful managed to get 3x minis in a standard 35mm UK double backbox, but its not easy and takes some really careful cable dressing.
This works without any problems for Home-Assistant. The esp8266 needs to be flashed like any other wifi module for Home-Assistant. The MCU on the board does the work from UART. In Home-Assistant the yaml file needs to be configured something like this. (This is a one-relay example). The UART for the relays is [0xA0, 0x01, 0x01, 0xA2] etc. switch: - platform: template id: relay1 name: "relay1 switch" turn_on_action: - uart.write: [0xA0, 0x01, 0x01, 0xA2] - switch.template.publish: id: relay1 state: ON turn_off_action: - uart.write: [0xA0, 0x01, 0x00, 0xA1] - switch.template.publish: id: relay1 state: OFF
Excellent tutorial, just a question, can we add an RF remote or IR remote to this same project? and if so how. Great advantage when no wifi is available
Thanks for the flow download link - I think this has to be one of those things to play around with to find the possibilities of using AI with Node-red. Great 👍
@@csongorvarga Thank you for answering me ☺️ It doesn’t say in the manual that it should be. It’s a picture of all that’s included. But I will contact mocreo and ask ☺️
Hi Csongor Have you tested the range (distance) of the Ultra? I was disappointed with the range on the Zigbee Pro version. Specification says 200m distance coverage (in the Turbo Mode). Not sure about this. Don't want to spend the money if I have problems !
I have numerous Zigbee switches paired using the Sonoff ZB Bridge Pro gateway. I believed that the new Sonoff ZB Bridge - U would be a superior gateway with its wired connection and additional features. However, I was disappointed to find out that it couldn't pair with any of the switches that are already perfectly paired via ZB Bridge Pro. This made it a complete waste of time and money.
Really, what devices did you test it with. I just picked a random few that I was not using in any automation scenarios and paired them without any problem. Did any of them pair? Could your device be defective?
