As a cyclist, this guy is so entitled. He thinks he can just cycle around so fast and shout at people. All road users need to be considerate and considered. He needs to be aware of his environment and the risks around him (hazard perception?). Cycled for 13 years and have honestly had very few issues with cars or pedestrians.
Is he just informing on people constantly over the perceived driving errors, of is he just thinking about it? Most riders don't think like that. They're just happy to have avoided collisions. The only time I ever informed on a driver was when it was a cop being an oblivious dipshit at a crosswalk when I was moving through. That he was a cop made it easier to do. He was probably fooling with his cell phone. A lady on her bike got run over at that same spot close to that time.

At 0:40, the white pug does a poor job of pulling out. Having said that, in these situations it is best to just slow down a bit and let them out. It means you don't have the same driver trying to get past you 100yds later.
Just stay in the bike lane. My tax money goes to making it and u hog the middle of the road and wonder why cars have to overtake. ROADS WERE BUILT FOR CARS
Rule 167, DO NOT overtake when you would force another road user to swerve or slow down. Yes, so why did you overtake the cars and force the car to swerve as he was already overtaking cars before you go there. Cyclist need to apply the same rules as everyone else and not think they have right of way in every circumstance. Yes there were some instances, but that is the way it is and cyclist are no better than other road users, which is shown in this video
In fairness the "Professional" driver who you criticise was there before you arrived. He was trying to get out of that road and join the main carriageway. You want give and take. Well, practice a little give and take.
1:00 can you explain me why in your opinion they're wrong? You've got cycle lane which you don't use , cycle through the road, they have gave you about 1.5m space taking into consideration that if you would be in the cycle lane they would give you much more... Just saying
1:19 This is exactly why you shouldn’t let people out who are supposed to give way. If you’re still going to do it, at least check your mirrors for overtaking or filtering vehicles before you flash/wave the car to come out. Because the car supposed to give way will definitely blame you if there is a collision. Not sure who would be at fault though. But it’s not something you want to be getting involved in.
Not many commuting cyclists where I live .. I’m from Bangkok btw. I also have noticed you shouted at many people/cars appearing to ‘block’ your way, or violate traffic rules. Is that common in Europe? On Thai roads, we tend to tolerate it as yelling or honking can easily lead to road rage.
At 4.20, can anyone pls explain to me why the law allows vehicles to be parked on both sides? In my country, they switch side depending on odd/even number day. It may be inconvenient for some car owners on certain days but incident like the one in the video can be minimized.
Now the bus, not really a while lot they can do about that, they got that big wide turn radius, and most bus drivers are really good drivers. There is the acceptation, like with any professional driver. The fact the driver took the turn that fast, they knew what they was doing. I dont even bat an eye at them anymore, cause I know getting hit by 49,000lbs is gonna end me, and i wont have anything to worry about anymore.
Just a couple of points I'd like to make. Yes, some of the driving was pretty crazy, and you were put in danger at times. However, some of your cycling skills need to addressed as well. Your hand signalling when turning and pulling out is quite dangerous for you. Maybe you should focus on those skills to be a better cyclist. Also, I'm not sure if your speedo was KPH or MPH, but you seemed to be breaking some given speed limits. Any explanation? You are not above
@@justthink295 You did not signal any turns. This is indicating that you have very little respect for other road users. In respect to speed, there is no actual law according RTA. There is however a bylaw to which has no limit and refers to manner if cycling "Wanton and furious cycling" If you were to injure a child due to your excessive speed, you would and should be prosecuted, so don't kid yourself, that would be idiotic (you don't seem to be an idiot). So, as I was saying, you pointed out sine shit driving and rightly so, but look at your own standards too, they're not as good as you think they are.

0:20 - the car is just a speck at first, he's a long way off. He needs to get past some parked cars, he can't see you from that distance. He's not going fast, he's not doing anything dangerous. Just brake a bit and let him finish.
It's less than 100m. If they can't see me, they shouldn't be driving. They're barging through head on with a bike that's got a kid on the back, when they should give way. Question stands - would they have done that with a car coming the other way?
For the love of god stay away from Cowley Rd, it’s not worth the risk, not,to mention help avoiding Divinity which is nightmare stop/start ascent with idiots stopping you progress every 20s. I’ve cycled across Oxford most of my life and I wouldn’t go anywhere near there, especially given the number of friends/colleagues that have crashed on it. Iffley is safer or go around the ring road, which by the look of it you do often (to the Churchill?).
How about you fucking cyclists stop getting in the way of proper traffic? Roads were not built for your pathetic bicycles. Rule 79 of the highway code states cyclists must dismount and walk across crossings except zebra ones you seem keen to quote the highway code for others but not for you

Dismount and wheel your cycle across. Rule 80 Toucan crossings. These are light-controlled crossings which allow cyclists and pedestrians to share crossing space and cross at the same time. They are push-button operated. Pedestrians and cyclists will see the green signal together. Cyclists are permitted to ride across. Maybe you should learn to read next time
Oxford...a cycling city/County! Ha! 🤣🤣 Cycling infrastructure so poorly designed & maintained the City and County Council should be ashamed! By design, putting pedestrians, cyclists and drivers in conficting situations fuelling the fire of resentment between users absolutely shocks me. Cycling organisations need to take legal action to force LA's to build lanes that meet current DOT specifications, rather than draw a white line on the road & call it a cycle lane!
Electric scooters are legal everywhere.........because Halfords sell them and if I buy one where am I going to use it !!! So that make it legal ! Well B&Q sell chainsaws that don't mean I am going round cutting down trees by the side of the road
@@justthink295 oh forgot about some of our laws being different in northern Ireland! Electric bikes were illegal here unless insured and you had a normal motor bike license or CBT. But Halfords sold them anyway for a time and they were used on roads. The law was changed because so many had bought them without insurance or licences and the local MPs were getting their ears bent constantly. Same thing is happening with electric scooters....... Halfords sells them so the law is ignored.
@@johnthompson2598 Ebikes are perfectly legal in NI since May last year, electric scooters are not legal for road use unless registered ,insured and the rider has a motorcycle licence and wears a motorcycle helmet but it is not against the law to sell electric scooters
Great Video. Exactly representative of a commuting cyclist’s life in the UK. Personally I find a loud “passing on your right” does the trick with random swerving cyclists and pedestrians in the cycle lane. Stay safe 👊🏻
