Hi there, my cooler works but the condenser fan motor is quite load and the compressor is also hot to the touch. does one screw hold the fan in place? Could the overload protector be malfunctioning? Thanks
It's not a relay. It's a Positive Temperature Coefficient Resistor, 4.7 Ohms when cold. It allows current to flow through the start winding to start the compressor motor. As it warms up due to passing current, it's resistance increases to keepnfrom burning out the start winding. The M (or R) winding runs the motor. Inside is a nickel sized disc with prongs touching each side under tension. It doesn't take much of a resistance increase in ohms, maybe to 11 ohms when cold, to keep the motor from starting so it just sits there vibrating until it gets hot enough to trip the thermal cutoff switch. As it cools the thermal cutoff cools and resets and keeps doing that until it's turned off or, worst scenario, the cutoff doesn't reset and it burns out the compressor or maybe even starts a fire.
Gotta dig a man bold enough to wear grey sweats in a You Tube video, anyways, how do you get the lights to remain on? Most tv’s nowadays automatically turn themselves off if a television show isn't being displayed, that's the problem that I'm having trying to turn a broken screen tv into a skylight, the thing turns off every half hour or so and someone must push the on button to get it going again, not the worst problem, but annoying anyways, you have any ideas?
Why shouldn't it flicker? When the battery is in there, is the power ALWAYS going through it? i.e. if the battery were to suddenly fail, due to a bad cell or something, would the power from the wall still be allowed to pass through the device and power the lamp ?
Brilliant! Thank you, Dan, for teaching us how to restore the display on a digital clock. Your step-by-step descriptions were outstanding. Very thoughtful of you to adjust our view so that each image was clearly visible. The world needs more educators like you!
Likewise I found one of these on the side of the road I took it home and plugged it in the LEDs don't work and it doesn't get cold it doesn't even turn on any tips
Do you have a voltmeter/ multimeter? Make sure the switches are on. The light appears to have its own circuit and transformer and should come on when it's plugged in. It could be burnt out. The rest of the circuit runs through the thermostat and turns on the compressor and fans. You may not have fans and coils on your model. The newere ones run the refrigerant tubing up the side walls and let the sheet metal dissipate the heat and condense the refrigerant. So if nothing comes on, you could have a bad plug or power cable. If the light comes on but nothing else, I'd look at the thermostat not closing the switch. If you can handle a multimeter you could check voltages or ohm out the wires, plug, and switches.
they make bait bags specifically for Japanese beetles. they're also like ambrosia for chickens. the bait bags are non toxic, using a pheromone to attract them. very effective.
@@darkbtw.v2120 And that's the problem, he wasn't showing the proof of what he was advertising. And I guess for the ignorant that was bored for one to look for proof of what is being advertised😃
Thanks for posting this! The LCD on my OXO Digital kitchen scale was having the same issue, and your fix worked for me too! You helped me save money and prevent electrical waste! 🙌
My granddaughter has a vintage Precious Moments angel doll that plays a prayer.."Now I lay me....". I don't want to cut her open but I want it to work. Even though at 5yrs old her mom thinks it's a baby toy. She's 5.
Enjoyed your video. I can sew, and I will be making an incision in my DanDee chattering bug, and hoping I can make it work. Did your snowman work again with batteries??
I like the thoughtful way that he goes through this and picked up some useful tips along the way, like putting a towel under where you are working to catch screws. :)
I was hoping to see the pins you connected the relay onto and also I'm replacing the overload on the one pin first. I'm having a hard time seeing in mine well enough to position the overload part first with the one pin the the relay with the two pins.
I have a query ; i could run my ps5 and a monitor on my inverter but just for another safety layer , i would buy a UPS. Suppose i plugged my UPS into a socket where inverter supplies power during power outage , would my ps5 run on UPS till UPS gets fully discharged or it will automatically run on inverter? Incase my ps5 runs on inverter , would my ups get charged through inverter while running ps5 ? I could use suggestions for most efficient power consumption scenario
Hi Dan. This was a very interesting video to watch. Nice work! I have a Denon DHT-S316, I can’t get it to turn on at all. I’m wondering if you have suggestions on how to troubleshoot it because I can’t even do the recommended reset (it literally won’t turn on at all - unless the power indication light has blown or something!) Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
