@@michaelserrano4597. In this case, make sure the can of chickpeas is un-salted and it does not affect the 👅 taste. Otherwise you’ll add a salty flavor
@@FrancoGutz in my case I purchased at Vallarta, over the counter. I bought the tejocote and used the syrup. I’m sure many culture stores might have it.
Ancestral hands down the best. I tried mezcal Lalocura from maestro Eduardo "Lalo" Angeles in Santa Catarina Minas, Oaxaca. If you can get a mezcal bottle from Lalocura you'll never regretted.
Don't have too much experience with mezcal, but enjoy mezcaliitas from time to time and this is my spirit of choice. Sweet but not too sweet, lets you feel the smoke without overwhelming and blocking other notes. Give it a try for sure!
I’ve never had a Mezcal made from Agave inaequidens, so, you’ve piqued my interest; so much so that if I can’t find your Mezcal out here, I’ll have to fly out to Michoacán 😊
Do you know what year your bottle is from? We tasted a Largo from Real Minero at Tahona SD in 2021, tasted like banana laffy taffy. We bought a bottle of our own in 2022 and it was very earthy like carrots. Goes to show how diverse mezcal can be from one batch to the next, same agave, same palenque etc. and different experiences. ¡Salucita!
This is the 1st and only mezcal I've tasted, i barely got into mezcal, im a big beer fan and just started on mezcal, i drank with fever tree grapefruit water and lemon and coarse salt, its amazing
Welcome to the world of mezcal! Warning, you have entered the rabbit hole, that will lead to endless bottles, varieties, culture, and more. ENJOY! #FindYourMezcal
Hey, that is correct! Sotol is the common name for Dasylirion. But Dasylirion didn’t receive its genus until 1838. It was before considered agave, in other regions of Mexico it is “cucharilla” and you can find mezcal cucharilla.
This is my first time trying mescaline. I'm a huge tequila fan but I will say I'm not enjoying this flavor. It's very smoky and has a rubber tire taste. No I don't lick or ingest tires but if you ever smelt a brand new tire a kind of resemblancexamples a sense of After taste
I agree, it's not the best flavor coming from the Casamigos Mezcal. I want to encourage you to try some other mezcales... again Casamigos is a bad first impression. By the way, "Mescaline" is not mezcal. Mescaline is a natural psychedelic from a cactus - might need to do a review on that now lol
To my understanding there are no toxic materials in clay and it is safe for use and cookware etc. Especially fire glazed. I think breathing dry clay can be damaging to your lungs though.
This sounds like a really interesting restaurant....wish I lived closer so I could visit it...our options for great Mezcal are somewhat limited in Louisiana....hoping to learn as much as I can from channels like yours'....thanks!
Hey thank you! That means a lot. I have been MIA for sometime now my apologies. But I am now in the works to start sharing more content, I hope you enjoy. And yes Gema is quite the gem! If you're ever visiting the west try to visit. I'd love to check out Louisiana as well, maybe share some mezcal that way. Cheers!
