I love you reaction to this.. Eagles have ALOT of great songs... Actually I don't know that they have a bad song... I would like to make a suggestion if I may from a band from another band from Canada. They are from the early 70's also but this was filmed at a Canada State Prison in 1988 as a benefit for the prisoners.. Here's the link for the video: BACHMAN TURNER OVERDRIVE - Roll On Down The Highway.. Enjoy))

Say what you want about Mr. Ted Nugent, the man was a magnificent guitar player in his peak of 70s-80s. Just listen to his guitar, not his mouth

Nugent is the biggest douchebag in rock history. I saw him in concert back in summer 93 with Brother Cain as the opener. Nugent's band came on and jammed for a few minutes after a great set by opener. When Ted finally came out, his guitar was so loud we could hardly hear anyone else.

Well, the eagle's been flyin' slow And the flag's been flyin' low And a lotta people sayin' that America's fixin' to fall Well, speakin' just for me And some people from Tennessee We've got a thing or two to tell you all This lady may have stumbled But she ain't never fell And if the Russians don't believe that They can all go straight to hell We're gonna put her feet back On the path of righteousness and then God bless America again And you never did think That it ever would happen again In America, did you? You never did think That we'd ever get together again We damn sure could We're walking real proud And we're talkin' real loud again In America you never did think That it ever would happen again From The Sound up in Long Island Out to San Francisco Bay And everthing that's in between them is our own And we may have done a little bit Of fightin' amongst ourselves But you outside people best leave us alone 'Cause we'll all stick together And you can take that to the bank That's the cowboys and the hippies And the Rebels and and the Yanks You just go and lay your hand On a Pittsburgh Steelers' fan And I think you're gonna finally understand And you never did think That it ever would happen again In America, did you? You never did think That we'd ever get together again We damn sure could We're walking real proud And we're talkin' real loud again In America you never did think That it ever would happen again And you never did think That it ever would happen again In America, did you? People say I'm no good And crazy as a loon 'Cause I get stoned in the mornin' I get drunk in the afternoon Kinda like my old blue tick hound I like to lay around in the shade And I ain't got no money But I damn sure got it made … 'Cause I ain't askin' nobody for nothin' If I can't get it on my own If you don't like the way I'm livin' You just leave this long haired country boy alone … Preacher man talkin' on TV Puttin' down the rock and roll Wants me to send a donation 'Cause he's worried about my soul He said, "Jesus walked on the water" And I know that it's true But sometimes I think that preacher man Would like to do a little walkin' too … But I ain't askin' nobody for nothin' If I can't get it on my own If you don't like the way I'm livin' You just leave this long haired country boy alone … A poor girl wants to marry And a rich girl wants to flirt A rich man goes to college And a poor man goes to work A drunkard wants another drink of wine And a politician wants your vote I don't want much of nothin' at all But I will take another toke … But I ain't askin' nobody for nothin' If I can't get it on my own If you don't like the way I'm livin' You just leave this long haired country boy alone

Molly Hatchet is the most underrated so called “”southern rock” band. I’m more of a passing fan of southern rock. Ask any person in a so called southern rock band and they’ll tell you they just play rock. Anyway, Skynyrd gets all of the oxygen. I can’t point to one hit of Molly Hatchet that stands out more than the rest, but I’ll tell you, “Gator Country” is a Bible passage of southern rock in the manner in which it catalogues some of the other prominent southern rock acts in the lyrics. The way Danny Joe tells it you just know it’s an anthem that will live forever and to me, the song doesn’t knock other acts. It more or less gives them their props and basically says “we’re happy being us.” I like that. Other genres like rap and hip hop s**t talk every other act. Why? If you like that stuff (which I don’t because it’s more like beat or street poetry set to a Moog or Casio drum machine. Rock on Danny Joe. You live on in your music.
