39 years, what a rush.memories open the door.was listening to linda ronstadt, fleetwood mac, sophie b hawkins patti smith of the warriors and maria mckee of lone justice, when LUBA came to me❤😊
As a kid I saw Luba at Massey Hall opening for Bryan Adams, the night he shot the video for “Somebody” in fact. She was excellent. This song was still all over the radio at that time, always felt like such a classic. A great memory.
Saw Luba live in the early 80's- she opened in Halifax, NS for Chris DeBurg. She sounded fantastic in the Metro Centre. Always wondered about the "politics" of the Music industry - why so many extremely talented performers were not given their chance to succeed.
My Very first time seeing a rock band perform Live - The did an afternoon concert at my junior high school Parkview in Edmonton when I was in grade 7... Made a big impact on me!! Thanks Boys, ROCK!!
Beautiful voice, incredible song love it. This was the sound effects of my life or the background music. I played this song repeatedly love it if they have a great day.
I first started liking Luba when I was a teen and 'No More Words' popped up on the radio, here and there, in 1990. I didn't come across this stunner for a few more years after that, as Luba just didn't get the airplay she deserved for her older songs, even in the Toronto area. What an amazing song this is!!!
Having a Bourbon tonight enjoying this...Totaled my first car, a 74 Nova, while listening to this cassette tape - head bounced off the windshield..no seat belt laws back then...me mom made me see the doc and get an x-ray...all was good...I think...sh*t man 40 years in the rear view...(PS this took place in Regina - musta been around 1982-83)
Her guitarist was my music teacher in high school from 1982-1986. Thanks for teaching me Stairway To Heaven Mr. Gudzio👊👩🎤Luba... you will always rock to me!
Where are the lyric videos for people like this? The underrated bomb singers like Luba And Gowan... i wish i knew what i was doing, and i would make the damn lyric videos. dang. guess i'm the one to learn, and make them.
I'm 63, I've known the words to this song since it came out. Unfortunately, I have been attributing the song to another female artist I am fond of purely by accident (Bonnie Tyler). Maybe she covered it at some point. My apologies Luba, especially since I'm fiercely Canadian and you kill this song.
Such a underrated singer ..... seen her live at the Ontario Place Forum in the late 80's back in the day ..... awesome concert ....would have loved to see her do a duet and perform with Bette Midler .......... she is on the same level as Bette Midler .... absolutely .....
She was born in Canada, but she is Ukrainian. Lubomyra Kowalchyk. In addition, she began to sing English-language songs in the late 70s, she has a Ukrainian repertoire before 🇺🇦
Luba...heard this song tonight on an Oshawa Ontario Canada station. I miss this song and I miss your voice! Come back to us if you possibly can. 63 years old and loving your music all over again.
I saw these guys open for Toronto at the Melfort Exhibition in 1984. I liked them. They had a bit of swagger about them. Unfortunately, they sort of disappeared after that.
For some reason this pm I just started singing this song. It's not something I've heard in years. It's weird how things happen...still love it. Her voice is 🤩
