Personally I think Breakpoint is the best third person military game anyone could ever ask for. I know the story ain’t that great, but the mechanics of motion, the stealth aspect, the gear, the uniforms, the camouflage patterns, the laser pointing, it’s everything we ever dreamed of. Ever since we were kids we played Metal Gear Solid, COD and all these other military games searching for that one that combines everything, and for me Breakpoint does that.
what i really hated on wildlands was when the ai was trying to find you you had the yellow circle on your minimap they could find you even if you where 500m away from them with a supresor on your gun and that for me felt so unrealistic like are they superhumans with super hearing ? but breakpoint has it better they will not know where you are till youve been found and that for me is a feeling that i have more freedom and can still stay in the one spot and not change every locations after every hit. but still wildlands 750hours and its still iconic breakpoint 70hours and i have it only for 2 weeks. anyway best open world shooter games for me. wildlands was my first ever game that i bought and still love it till this day
Been playing woodlands after being recommended it by everyone in the community, and I've to say I don't see the how it's better. I mean everything but the vehicles in wildlands feels worse. That being said it's an exceptional 3rd person shooter experience (wildlands) but for me at least I found breakpoint an improvement on all mechanics and gameplay. But God I wish the vehicles in breakpoint worked like they do in wildlands. It's so much fun driving places in wildlands, in breakpoint I can't drive anywhere without being hung up on a stone or a tree every couple of meters. Either way cheers ghosts.
Breakpoint has one of the worst most boring stories, and atmosphere I have ever experienced. The mechanics are incredible, but it’s missing a storyline like Wild Lands. I would’ve loved fighting the cartels with breakpoint mechanics.
I have played Wildlands to completion 3 times. I am yet to complete Breakpoint and have deleted it from my PS twice. That probably explains my opinion well enough.

Star Wars Outlaws is not not doing it for me and I think I will be trying Wildlands. Breakpoint only benefits is because it is a newer game. Even Concord has smooth gameplay cuz mOdErN but game is still garbage. Breakpoint is skippable for me.
Wildlands is a brilliant game. The world is so alive, the enemies have tasks and are aggressive, and it doesnt force you to play stealth. Breakpoint is just digshit in every manner. Dumb AI that just paces back and forth, forced stealth gameplay, and dumb sci fi crap like gun turrents, drones, and robot cars. The deeper dive into role playing mechanics and level scaling was also a huge miss.
My absolute favorite rifle is the m4a1 tactical closely followed by the 416, the burst action of the M4a1 tac is beutifull and altho the 416 can use full auto and burst it just doesn't feel as smooth but those are my two favorite assault rifles atm
Honestly, it always bugged me people talk about "immersion" with this game and how the CROSSCOM breaks it. I really wonder how many folks know the details behind the device, let alone about Ghost Recon as a unit in general rather than the games, a unit that combines the tried and true with the cutting edge new... at least in the mentioned GRAW and GRFS. (The latter of which taking place one year BEFORE Breakpoint, mind you.) It really makes no sense to not have it unless it got broken, which given the premise would've been a good idea instead of having it turned into a useless cosmetic. Honestly this game should've had a sort of "Metroid" beginning where you have all your toys and gadgets because that's how Ghosts traditionally are. They're not just another specops group. Then after luring the player in we have the Wolf ambush which culminates in depowering you before you get into the game for real. Sidequests could've involved you working your way back up as you progress, and the CROSSCOM would've been one item to get back. (Same with cloaking, better drones, better weapon platforms, etc.) It would've made total sense considering we're in techno paradise with drones up the wazoo. Plus IIRC there was some little station you find where a scientist said you could make virtually anything with a machine she had. That could've factored into it.
Pretty sure the only reason you can't call in reinforcements in breakpoint is that the rebels are severely weakened and don't wanna waste men for no purpose. Also to add majority of our team was killed in the very beginning and reinforcements from our team can't come in as well due to later on things. It just adds another level of that you need to do it yourself you need to have a plan you need to know what you are doing.
You don't really learn to appreciate these games until you go looking for anything else like them. The closes thing is arma. But arma is a disastrous jank fest. These games, especially breakpoint are perfect templates for what could be the best tactical shooters ever made. They never should have given up on them.
I like them both, as two diffrent games. I just got breakpoint, and I really like it. I made up a story in my head for more context of the game, I play as if its an American civil war, and survival game. So i play as if I were to die, id die. With the fact that youre fighting americans, and dealing with tech people, drones and shit, I had to contextualize the story in a believable way in oder to enjoy it ( abunch of rogue tech companys, and soldiers just wasnt believable). With that context to the stroy it makes it super fun... especially with the virus, and tech billionares... not far off.
It literally should be illegal for you to call a pistol holster "a little sleeve" If you don't know the name of a holster you should stop playing this game immediately and go get some testosterone
It would be perhaps desirable in BP to have had both specification, damage and penetration (like in Wildlands). Depending on muzzle velocity vs round weight, some weapons can have some less damage in comparison with others, but yet some more penetration. Normaly (as quick exemple), some SMGs have a little more damage that some ASRs (like MP5 vs 416 or M4A1 classic), but logical speaking, the penetration power will be greater by these ASRs, because of the signifficant higher velocity.
I miss Wildlands enemy schedules. They actually change location throughout the day, go get dinner in the barracks and fall asleep. Breakpoint has more movement positions, but only Wildland lets you holster your weapon. If you like ground movement between objectives, breakpoint feels better with world immersion and enemy placement in wild. Wildlands has a more refined map with more consistent ability to climb and less floating rocks/ability to see through the map on main missions.
Also if you are short on cash. Get Wildland. Breakpoint you need gold for the FULL main campaign. There is a lot of content in base breakpoint, but its split into three parts. Part 2 and 3 are in the dlc. Cheapest option is GOLD
I would really like to see you play with ACR and the M9 pistol and the type of character is a modern warfare character and that is Simon Riley codename Ghost
The thing is, M4A1 Scout makes the M4A1 Tactical useless, better said, not necessary anymore. Same ROF, greater power, same single/burst fire mode, better range, more scope options, both support the 50 mag rounds, friendly recoil and the Scout still has a decent handling and mobility.
Hi, I'm new to the game, is there a blueprint for that rifle in the game, i don't have credits to purchase it and it seems i can't find any video on RU-vid. I only play the mission, no online/multiplayer, so can you find it in the game?
Greetings I love Breakpoint, but the very first Ghost Recon is dearest to my heart. There was no development system, you didn't have to develop your character, you could switch between soldiers on the fly if you judged the situation that way. It was much more complex. You could give each machine companion where to stand, crouch, or lie down. They did not watch idly when the enemy came. It may be a nearly twenty-year-old game, but the next Ghost Recon installment has something to take over. But Ubisoft already includes the development level system in all their games. Also in which he would have nothing to gain. Unfortunately.
I’ve enjoyed this video, first I’ve seen from the channel, I would like to say before my knowledge of you improves with your more recent uploads, that a script will do wonders for you. A lot of rambling over the same points in this which will hinder your viewer retention. Nonetheless a very informative video!
The only thing they need to fix is when you pick up bodies, takes hours to move 1 guy, and also make the openworld feel more realistic, add more npc’s, people driving and reacting more realistic
I got both games for super cheap on steam awhile back. I can't remember f it was ghost recon pack or Tom Clancy pack. I've been playing Wildlands, and absolutely enjoying myself. Weapons was an issue, there's not much in the way of base model Army weapons. I'd like to run and gun with say an M4A1 and M240B or say a M14 and M249 SAW. I'd would had like to just draw my weapon from my arms room or Connex, and maybe use an optic and/ or IR aim point depending on what the mission set would be required. Additionally, I don't really see much difference in the ballistics of different ammo as far as against vehicles, hard cover, or vest. But, what I've mentioned is just constructive criticism. Overall I've had fun playing the Wildlands shooter game; haven't played the breakpoint one yet. Not sure how the online things work, or if people still online for the older games.
My favorite is the M4a1 Scout. It provides the most versatile platform for when encounter distance starts pulling toward cqc along with excellent mid to long range performance. The power of its 3 round burst and high rate of fire against armored/helmet targets really puts it over the top for me. Also it is a good looking platform.
I loved Wildlands and couldn't really get into breakpoint. I found the enemy bases and story in breakpoint to be terrible and the game to be repetitive. Wildlands, on the other hand was chaos, the missions were fun and the story kept me engaged. GR Advanced Warfighter 2 will always be my favorite GR game. I played that game to death back in the day.
