I've been teaching people to drive since February 2009 and I've been an avid car enthusiast ever since I can remember. The goal of this channel is to make all my motoring knowledge available to the public. I make videos on both learning to drive and motoring in general to help you pass your test and become a savvy driver.
Hey guys! Just wanted to let you all know I passed my test today with two minors! All the help from this RU-vid channel and others really got me over the line safely! Thanks for all the advice 🙏 gonna keep watching as in the passed club for sure!
I passed my test yesterday 🎉 and just wanted to say thank you for all your videos, they have been a massive help. I'll keep following your channel to improve my skills 😊
Funny how the road markings on a quiet Scottish road in the middle of nowhere are much better and clearer than the ones on the video of the test centre with the lowest pass rate which was in a big city like London Scotland has some of the best roads in the UK not just for driving on but also how well maintained they are
It’s now September 2024. Get a grip everyone. All this panic about not being able to buy new petrol or diesel cars beyond 2030 and hybrids beyond 2035 is a joke. Most people buy used anyway. You should be able to run most cars for twenty years plus if looked after. In 2040, the newest used hybrid cars will be only five years old, so get another fifteen years out of it takes you to 2055. Do you not think that in all that time that alternative powered cars wont have evolved ? EVs will have super efficient batteries, probably even more advanced than the solid state batteries soon to be introduced. If you cant charge at home, it wont be a problem. Charging stations will be as common as petrol stations, plug in, five minutes to full and probably no more expensive than if you were filling up with petrol or diesel by the time we get to that point in ten or twenty years. Stop worrying. Get some anti depressants if you cant cope. At the end of the day it will be decades before fossil fuels disappear from forecourts so there will be plenty cars of today that will become classics that you can buy and drive around if you so wish.
Passed on the first attempt, with zero faults which I’m still in shock over. However in my car I was all over the place as the electric handbrake totally threw me 🙈 I also learned in a petrol car and mines is a diesel, what are the main differences? I got a bit scrambled in my first drive and wanted to know what differences i’ll come across with a diesel car with an electric brake.
I watched this video this morning today just before my driving test and all of the advice helped me to stay calm and not panic during my exam, Today I just passed my driving test and I owe a part of it to conquer driving youtube channel it has helped me learn things that my driving instructor didn't teach. So grateful this channel is free too!
Wait so is it 60 or 70 here because motorway implies 70 and there is a buffer lane which acts like a central reservation but it isn’t technically so is it 60mph max? 🤔🙏
Thank you so much for sharing this video! I really wish my instructor had explained it as clearly. He just mentioned that for turns, I should aim for a speed of 12 mph. Now I understand that for open junctions, it’s better to be in second gear, aiming for 10 mph, while for closed junctions, first gear with the clutch down at around 5 mph is ideal. I’ll also keep in mind to slow down and complete the mirror-signal-speed-gear (MSSG) routine earlier, allowing myself about 5 seconds to make a decision. In the past, I’ve rushed and didn’t leave enough time to lift the clutch after changing gear, which often led to coasting during turns. This video has been incredibly helpful-thank you again!
Read today about the Safety feature of Auto transmission cars models with and without Hill Assist Feature. Uphill driving with Hill Assist built-in, the car will not rolled down. Some automatic cars do not have this feature, the car will rolled down when foot lifted from brake pedal to gas pedal.
Great video it takes my bus 10 seconds to stop at 30 mph due to the wait If I slam on the breaks all the passengers would be injured the Amber should be on for at least 6 seconds
at 14:15, my son did exactly as you said and the instructor told him to slam on and failed him. It feels so objective. he watched this after the event and is now confused. Love the videos very well made.
Got confused by that. On the way to Wales, ended up going 70mph because I thought it was dual carriageway but it wasn't physically separated (each carriageway). At least on the way back we follow the speed limit.
