These beaches are quite disappointing comparing them to Jamaica , Cuba , Aruba , etc. I guess when I go in November I'll stick with other types of activities. I am sure the food, partying scene and culture will be top notch.
The beaches on the north and west side are the part of Atlantic Ocean. There are caribbean style beaches in PR compared to what you said, you just need to go to other areas. Culibra, Vieques, Cabo Rojo are some good areas. The beaches in this video are top notch when it comes to natural scenic beauty and if you are into surfing.
Visitor hint: The town of Telluride is limited on parking. Yesterday there are meters, but parking at Mountain Village is free during the day at the public garage at the uppermost end of the Gondola, Market Center. The garage is right next to the Gondola station. Take the short 5-minute Gondola the the center of Mountain Village and then the longer 10-minute run up over San Sophia down into “downtown” Telluride. See everything you need to see, just in reverse order but take advantage of the free parking garage in MV.
im also from chicago i go to sleeping bear dunes every year ever since i was a kid love that place i know everything about sleeping bear dunes its a great place you just hit some of the things you can do there is so many other things you can do
Thanks for your video! You had some great footage of both places and it took me back down memory lane. We have stayed in Ouray and Telluride/Mountain Village a few times. Both are great but Telluride/Mountain Village will always be our favorite Colorado destination in the early Fall. You just can't be it. You basically get two towns for the price of one but with different aesthetics, feels, and offerings all in one location. The gondola system is amazing. Easy to hop on and off and the views from it are spectacular. Especially as the sun is setting. Telluride is a foodie destination and has an eclectic mix of restaurants. You have access to hiking trails right from town in both places which makes it easy just to walk to a trail head. We also love the rivertrail as it offers more beautiful views of nature in Telluride. Then you have Bridal Veil Falls and its well worth it to take a Jeep up to it or our favorite is to hike Bridal Veil Falls Trail so we get to see three different waterfalls on the way. We have taken the jeep on Last Dollar Road and Ophir Pass and those were great. We have para-glided from Mountain Village down to Telluride and that gives you the most amazing experience and views. One of our favorite things to do is to just walk through the town of Telluride and look at all the pretty houses with their beautiful landscaping. Yeah, Telluride/Mountain Village is top of our list. It has so much to offer even beyond what I mentioned. Everyone there is so active and the place just feels alive. If anyone is considering going, just do it! You won't regret it!
I go to PR to visit family and the only thing I hate about it is driving in those narrow winding streets. Not to mention people over there tend to drive to fast for my taste.
I agree. I think they live there and know all the turns, so they feel much more comfortable driving faster. When you don’t live there and drive there that often, it can be challenging
My wife and I took our dog to New Buffalo and Warren Dunes two years ago. Cece, our dog, loved it so much, and she was also a big hit in New Buffalo! We're all going back to Michigan this year, but this time we're going to visit Saugatuck, Grand Haven, Rockford and my favourite big city in Michigan, Grand Rapids.
In this video we were there at the beginning of April. The water on beaches on the North and West are very clear at this time fro just coming out of winter season
I think the reason is because in the winter the snow will not run off the road or can’t be plowed with guard rails then making it not being able to use in the winter
Great video ❤ I had a question regarding parking. I am also planning to go in 4th of July weekend. What time would you recommend to reach by to get a parking. I wanna go in morning time and I heard the lots get full really quickly.
Thanks! For the Bear Lake parking lot where a lot of hikes start from, earlier the better. We were lucky and found 1 spot left around 11am. There are always people leaving, but I would not suggest going at that time. I would say go before 8am. You also need an entry pass. I would suggest logging in right when they go on sale for the next day and buy it immediately. That what we did.
Not in Rocky Mountain National Park. I don’t think there are as many bears there compared to Yellowstone or Glacier National Park., which we have seen bears at.
@crystalryanparadise I am planning a trip and came across your page. I want to see Bear Lake and Dream Lake so bad! I guess I had a little anxiety about bears lol. Thank you for easing that for me! Your video was super informative!
Just an FYI...on a recent trip to PR, we used this video to help us plan part of our trip. It was very helpful and we fell in love with Rincon. Thank you!
im laughing at how you have mispronounced all these places hahaha. ouray, estes, and silverton. but i get it. perhaps i take it for granted, having heard those many times living in CO. anyways i enjoyed the scenic shots.
Yes. That is the A6400. I have a few lenses for it. If I’m hiking where there is a lot of scenery. I’ll just use the kit lens 18-135, which is versatile.
