Nice video mick . Fished the other side quite a lot Caradoc court. Not one of the best Beats on the wye. Holme lacy 3 would be a good trotting beat . Run by the wye &usk . Also Lower Hill Court Angling Dreams Adam Fisher . Keep up the good work on the float and you get your reward , Tight lines and all the best
Another nice video Mick thank you and I admire your dedication and enthusiasm which really shows through. We fished the Wye last week further down near Monmouth. Lots of blanket weed and very difficult, plan to re visit when the water is up and flowing more 🤞🤞cheers Jim
What a beautiful part of the world, such great scenery and wildlife there. Late one night i seen what i think was a sparrow hawk dive down try take a bat, awesome. Enjoyed the watch again 👍
Ey up mick enjoying you vids again , them concrete points out into the river, I once watched Martin bowler fish off one ov those ,he said the gillies put them in to make the flow bounce round them making favourable holding area's for the salmon fisherman to catch the salmon, before course fishing was allowed, could hold chub and barbel with a bit more flow on it, one never knows
Hello Mick. Yet another enjoyable video just a great shame it was ruined by the unwelcome visitors! Next time you are out would you kindly talk us through what your set up is regarding your Rods,Reels,Line,Hook choice and Hook Length etc. It would be much appreciated and I thank you in advance. Looking forward to the next video.Take care my Friend.
Such a shame your swim was ruined, It was looking really good. Fair play to you for staying so relaxed. I know we have to share the rivers, but a little consideration for anglers would be much appreciated as we are paying for our right to fish.
I cross that bridge at least 4 times a week and have wondered what it’s like down river. I’ll have to give it a try. I won’t be fishing the beach though. Nice video
The thing is Mick dog walkers know they share the banks with fishermen , do they pay money to use it NO . So because it's free to them to use you would of thought that consideration to paying people who use the facility would be paramount. But as all over the country they are very selfish inconsiderate b'tards and wonder why we despise them so much.
I know that peg well from the past and bagged up there with chub and barbel but not on the feeder or straight lead but on the stick float, the feeder can produce at times but fish in rivers are more used to food drifting down the river with the current because it's natural to them think about it, plus it keeps you active to fishing the stick float very rare i fish a feeder on rivers especially the river Severn this time of year, I've seen people saying that the aren't many barbel being caught out of Severn reason being they are sat behind one rod or two rods which I call lazy fishing,so give it go you maybe surprised but it is something you have to learn with shooting patterns and the most important feeding patterns just little and often to start with like five or six maggots and maybe hemp to at the start every cast or two and build the swim up then slowly up the feed when you start catching but don't go mad or other wise will push the fish down river,so don't sit there like a donut waiting for the fish to come to your feeder you go searching for them with a stick float 👍
Couldn't agree with you more,,,too many Severn anglers just sit behind rods and in low summer conditions, madness..if you want to do that in summer go and fish a muddy carp puddle...learn to fish the float, and see the results you get, I'm on eardington a lot and almost never see a float angler (apart from myself) the majority of anglers are not confident or skilled enough to fish a float these days, missing out big time. Learn the art of trotting and open up your fishing to new experiences and rewards. Don't sit on a static big bait in low hot conditions, your waisting your day. Get on a moving bait, be it bouncing meat through or float.
@@zandermaster3873 Yes reason being you're fishing it wrong this time of year, if you're sat behind a rod or two on the led or feeder your wasting your time because this time of year fish are waiting for food passing by so the stick float will catch you more fish 👍
@@paulcole4902 I was on the banks of the river Severn yesterday.... first cast I had a monster roach that took a 10mm pellet... nothing after that...need to change tactics I guess
@Micks.barbelfishing.adventures it's just days only on day ticket now, why everyone goes on A1 pits side now, they expanded too 170 pegs on the river to cope after collingham closed off night fishing to day ticket, I live in newark so you ever fancy another go, give me a shout, can get you a guest ticket at winthorpe (newark piscatorial) or some bits of free fishing atb craig
