Hello there! I'm TYX, a technology enthusiast and a passionate content creator. I'm most interested in technology, notably retrocomputing and tinkering. I also make Windows animations alongside fun stuff like music composition and remixes, gaming, and more.
This is my main channel - I have two channels and one of them is specifically for my main content, while the latter is for content that don't make it in my main channel or are just uploaded for fun.

Due to the original video I used being low-res (240p), I wasn't able to restore the video with to near full clarity. There are quite a lot of artifacts and also just general confusion with the AI, but with the tools I had at this time, this is what I managed to do. However, I've been experimenting with a denoiser I found on GitHub and have modified it to suit batch processing needs, and I'm looking to blend the existing video with the upscaled version of the denoised video. I'll upload a new version of this soon unless the result is near negligible.
Windows Millenium Edition! Interesting! Good video. 👍🏼 I read on the internet that it was an OS launched in september 2000 and ended support in 2006 along with Windows 98.
Sadly, this computer no longer works properly after 17 years of usage. The problem may lie in the faulty NEC/TOKIN capacitor inside the laptop, which caused the PC to not boot properly after a few seconds of startup. I also had this problem while recording this, but it wasn't as bad as it is now...
I should have mentioned this earlier - This isn't exactly a remake; it's a rearrangement. I simply modified the .it tracker file from the original creator to fit the Vista/7 sounds. Most of the song has no differences except one part (0:52), where I removed an asterisk sound effect as it didn't work well with the replaced samples.
D'accord compris mais j'ai déjà entendu cette musique mais que en mode Windows XP par un gars ressemblant un peu à un Simpson ou Stickman mais il pète entièrement son ordi à cause de tout les erreurs de Windows XP et en musique bien sûr
Is rufus method not working i upgraded to windows 11 using rufus when it was launched and it worked maybe now microsoft found out and patched it i think😅
I think Rufus' method is a bit different from the common replacing-a-dll-file (appraiserres.dll) method, and it should still work (Considering the options still exist in the latest version). Though, I don't think it was intended to be used for my application, and I'm not sure how Rufus bypasses the system requirements that well. I did find out a GitHub issue thread talking about similar issues, but I don't remember what it was anymore...
Sorry if the title was misleading earlier - I was trying to mention it was a sneak peek but kind of made things confusing in the process. This should clear things up now!
Hey guys, this is an update after four years. Unfortunately, I no longer have this existing install that I showed in the video, but I've reinstalled Vista again today on the computer. No upgrades aside from the RAM (DDR3-1600 2x4 GB -> DDR3-1866 4x8 GB). I'll also comment the stuff I said in the updated description. 2024/06/28: After four years, I've come to update you guys on this. Yes, it is entirely possible to install Vista on a Haswell CPU, though I don't know why I never encountered the Windows logon initialization error that a lot of people talked about. But even my previous attempts at this (install.wim replacements and whatnot) did not involve these issues either. The only issues I recall having was with setup not completing properly, which ended up corrupting the whole install, corrupting my install through bootloader issues (My bootloader got overwritten for some reason and I couldn't boot to my previous 7 install), and also BSODing my computer by installing some SATA driver through Snappy Driver Installer, which isn't really relevant as far as I know. I also wasn't able to use setup properly when booting to the USB, so I instead launched it through my existing 7 install.
Well, I noticed that you CAN indeed upgrade to Windows 11 from a system running an x86 OS! There's a procedure involving 8 beta builds for it. Here is a video detailing the explanation: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xOMtuAerX3g.html I'm not sure if this will work with my install, however, since unlike VintageComputingCanuck's upgrade procedures, I did end up upgrading to 2000. This required modifications to the registry. Can't find out without doing it with the modifications, though.
