I had bet big on danny willett before the event. On saturday I said he would win. everyone laughed. On monday i picked up my cheque for 10k. No one was laughing except for me.;)
Its a good video but im gonna add to @E323 and say Rickie Fowler finished top 5 in all four majors in 2014, so its not just Tiger and Jack to have done that.
Only been watching and playing golf since last season, didnt kno this about speith but always heard he was a good player from the broadcasters. Hopefully he gets himself a win this year
I actually think this was a wack take. He had like a 1 year hot streak just like many other former world number 1s did. Yes this ended his streak but it would’ve ended anyways. He even won a major after this. Also you end the video with the meltdown is all anyone will care about. What? Nobody will care about that. Nobody will care about Rory, DJ, Scotty, any of the number ones because they’re not tiger or jack. If they do care and run a highlight reel Speith was nasty when he was winning just like any others who had a good run when they were on top.
I remember telling anyone that would listen about Spieth way bk around 2012 & the money I made off betting him winning & or being placed was great between 13-16 .. I had a decent e/w bet on him to win the 14 Masters at 40/1 & a big bet on him in 15 then 16 & that 12th cost me fortunes 😂 .. It's a shame he's kinda fizzled out after winning The Open in 17 (I had him for that at 20s I think he was) .. Hope he gets bk to something near what he was, he was the best putter I'd seen since Tiger for those few early yrs!
I'm not convinced that this was Jordan Spieth's demise. I think we saw signs of his decline months before this happened. Even after his great year of 2015/16, he became extremely erratic off the tee, primarily because he chased distance, thus, altering his golf swing. In his historic year of 2015, he practically made every putt.....literally. Of course that could not be sustainable. Making everything he looked at on the putting green makes every other part of his game much easier to handle or fall into place. If you recall, in the 2016 season, he didn't make a lot of putts, not nearly the number of putts he made in 2015. Also, he started having the yips on the tee box. He would grip and regrip his club before swinging, constantly looking at his target, not pulling the trigger. It was little things like this that started to creep into his game. It's quite possible that this moment on the 12th hole at the Masters was the impetus that started it all, but I believe the wheels were already in motion prior to this event, imho.
Speith's natural shot is a draw. His attempts to hit cuts during the 2016 Masters - with both driver and irons - often turned into slices that left him right and short of the target (eg, his drive on the 11th hole). But thanks to his amazing scrambling, he managed to stay ahead of the field. However, at the 12th hole his luck ran out - he attempted another cut, which yet again ended up right and short of the green ... and in Rae's Creek. After that disaster, he finally got the message and hit only draws for the remainder of the round. Even on the 18th tee, instead of hitting a cut with his driver (as in the previous rounds), he hit a draw with his 3-wood.
Ruined his career is a bit dramatic... how's YOUR golf game in YOUR last Master's...... trying to tell Kobe what's wrong with his shot when you haven't made a layup......nice
This video is asinine. Speith's career thus far is better than good. If he manages to win the career grand slam, then nobody will care about the masters mishap.
he's the muhammad ali of tetris. sure he got beat, sure theres people that would beat him now, but its undeniable that the things he did for the community and the culture, along with his sheer dominance will never be replicated again
CTWC needed a monster like Jonas to grow big. Imagine if there was a new champ every year. Nobody would know who the hell these people would be. They'd be forgettable. Having a seven-time champ like Jonas made Joseph's win that much better.
For me Agro's return at the end was even more emotional than Agro falling into the chasm. There's really not much I can say that hasn't already been said thousands of times over about this game. Even after 19 years S.O.T.C. is still discussed, scrutinized, studied, played. That alone speaks for itself. And that soundtrack. Kow Otani has made some great music, but his soundtrack for this game is probably what he'll best be remembered for. Very excited to see what Fumito Ueda has in store for us next. Nice review/discussion.
