Not sure if sbhepworth is still answering questions. Just had an engine swap on a 99 manual trooper and the 4x4 lever seems to work in reverse order. After pressing dash switch, which position should the lever be in in order to switch to 4x4 high ( toward engine or away)

when I push the 4x4 button on my 02 Isuzu trooper it flashes from the back wheels to the auto but never goes fully green an will not go in to 4x4 any ideas thank you
Good Video old mate. Exactly what I was looking for to refresh my memory. Have you ever tuned the injectors on the 4JX1? Any chance you have found a source for spare Solenoids for the 4JX1 Injectors? I've got heaps of them with dead solenoids. They should show between 6-7mH Inductance when mounted on the Injector, but when they drop below 6mH then the injector starts misfiring, and it gets worse as the Inductance drops. I've seen some of those cheap chinese black or green solenoids that are sold as new injectors ending in part number 530 or 650 but they are often only around 5.9mH or less, so they wont last very long. It would be good to be able to buy new Solenoids as we have already sourced the replacement amplifier springs and have located the 3mm ID x 1mm CS Shure 90 Viton o-rings for the plunger, so we can effectively keep reconditioning the injectors - except for the solenoids. You look as though you love these old trucks as much as me, so I was hoping above hope that you may have found a solution to the dead solenoid problems?
hi, have a trooper 3.0 , put 3.1 in , wired front hub up 6 pin switch , but now my gear box not connecting to 4x4 as it did before i wired it, no power going to sencer , any way i can wire it straght to the sinaloud through my 6 pin plug or even another 2pin switch? or dose it have to have to be on the sencer ? every thing macnihicly sound its only eletric problm , please help ,johnny
Hi Simon. I have 2000 Izuzu Trooper LS and now unable to go into 4wd. Flashing 4wd not going solid, not going into 4wd. Brought it to shop yesterday. Mechanic suspect vac solenoid. Do you have these in stock? If so, how much are they? Can you buy these new? Tough time finding one. Also you mention on/off switch on transfer case. How much is that and do you have those in stock? on my 03 3.0 trooper the sensor/switch talked about after 1.08 is the reverse light sensor , there's another one further back on the transfer case (below and behind the gear stick (on mine) it reports that the transfer box has engaged 4wd and stops the power to the VSV's on the front axle , reversing the vacuum to the diaphragm and locking/unlock the front axle
