@@Lux_Ambiance yes i know. But I dont get a Mastercard Platinum. In Germany its Hard to get a normal creditcard. I stay 3x in Adlon. Maybe I will get a better room. Breakfast I get for Free. Champagner and Kaviar yummy 🤣🤣🤣
you can usually find a nice relaxing spot if you look hard enough. also during lunch hour there are less people. i wouldn’t say this area is over crowded, but definitely has a lot more liveliness during the summer months
the room looks cheap and ordinary.the walking to rooms dark for what an impression of luxury...i like the mini open space with lamp and flower hanging but i will not paid more than 150 a night.the architecture building make senses but the art inside doest match tje classique outhlook.missmatch renovation interior.thank you for the visit and your video shearing.
Yeah, the room wasn't as luxurious as I expected for being the "upgrade" King Deluxe (Hilton gold member upgrade and the basic room is far worse) I feel your comments are a true reflection of the fact this property is a remodeled Double Tree. I feel it is trying to be something it isn't. If they stuck to the double tree pricing and branding I feel it would have offered a good value. However, during the summer the prices reach up to 455 gbp per night (roughly 578 dollars) . And I wouldn't be willing to pay that price for what this hotel offers. I also agree that the art inside does not match the building. A positive point is that the customer service we received was outstanding, as well as the concierge and front desk team. The service surpassed many more famous 5 star properties we have stayed at. Thank you for watching :-)
In wished, I had this seen earlier as I have booked a room over the weekend. The rooms and interior seem to be really dated, if was shocked to the the condition of the ottoman in your room. Maybe I am more lucky than you were with the room upgrades, I will see tonight. So far Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts never let me down. I usually stay at the Adlon, when I am in Berlin, and the upgrades always were spectacular (from a standard room to a suite with views if the Brandenburg Gate). On the other side the concierge of Hotel de Rome was able to get a reservation at one of the top restaurants of Berlin yesterday for a group of 8 people, even the restaurant itself put me on the waiting list. This keeps my hopes still high concerning their service.
hey michael, yeah I discussed my experience with amex because as you said fine resorts has yet to let me down until this stay . Hopefully the pool closure (it’s been closed for years) will be noted for future amex guests before they book. If you frequent berlin be sure to checkout hotel luc by marriott (Iposted a review here on my channel) ofcourse it is boutique compared to the Adlon but we enjoyed our stay and the view and upgrades . Fingers crossed your stay at Hotel de Rome is better than mine was. Enjoy your trip to berlin!
@@Lux_Ambiance so far I m not disappointed, even we did not have an upgrade at all. The service was great, the bar is very nice and intimate, our room, even only a standard (classic) room is not as worn down as yours was. So far I am pleasantly surprised. After I watched your video, I had concerns that I would be disappointed, but actually I am not. Keep doing your videos, I enjoyed the one about the Hotel de Rome as well as the Hotel Luc. I will subscribe for your channel. I will keep you posted about our experience.
