@randymiller5008 lol 😆 I learned from a friend several years ago. Definitely has been a good search bait for me. Pitching out a senko or drop shot roboworm works good as a follow-up bait once you locate them

@andyskickz2102 find some rocky bottom that doesn't have alot of grass in about 15 to 18 feet of water. Give it a fair amount of time, then move onto a different spot. Once you find an area where they are feeding, they won't waste any time hitting a drop shot.
You caught quite a few for being so hot! You also have the patience of Job fishing that drop shot and rubber worm. Well done. Looks like the trolling motor was working perfectly with the anchor lock. I did notice water pumping out of the boat in the video ??? Great video thanks for sharing! Tight lines my friend!
Cabelas. No flashlight on it though. You may be taking about the little charge indicator that tells if the co2 canister that automatically inflates the vest is still working correctly.

I love that East Harbor bite… looks like the crank was working… try a whopper plopper late spring two hours before dark - white in color or light. One night we caught and released 57 largemouth 👍🏻. Looks fun!

By the way, this chart uses 10lb trilene xt for the values given. That's what I use as well. Never had any issues, even with big ol sheepshead.....lol. I play my drag on bigger fish. Some guys use up to 20 or so, and don't feel as if the numbers are off too much, but I haven't tried it myself. I do change out my line when I begin tournament fishing, just incase there are "nicks" or weakness areas.

Huron is my home port and offers great fishing for sure. You are braver than me for trolling planer boards in the main channel, especially inside the lighthouse...not even sure that's legal but no harm, no foul, I guess. Wonder what others think.
Oh my, had no idea! I'm definitely not braver, just ignorant!!! I saw several boats doing the same, but of course that doesn't make it ok. Fishing this area is new for me, will call the DNR and check on that for sure! Thanks for the heads up! Do they have any signs posted? Just curious if I missed that......smh.
@@livebig247 No worries. I'm not judging. I think what it would fall under is U.S. Coast Guard rules of the road. I know for sure it's not legal to anchor and fish in a channel but trolling might be legal but likely frowned upon. I think the ruling is anything that impedes other maritime traffic in the channel is illegal. I would think having lines out, especially on planer boards would fall into that category but i generally error on the side of caution.
@ironmule5200 Just got off the phone with the U.S. Coast Guard, and Ohio DNR. Both said that I am fine to fish the river all the way out through the channel as far as they are concerned, just warned to watch for the large vessels. Thanks for this by the way. It's addicting. I've fished Lake Michigan for salmon and trout for 20+ years so I have a bunch of gear already.

I took an Amish kid up to the Rocks just east of Cleveland in December. To show him how it's done , from shore. I caught a 29 incher the second cast. On a 4 inch Swim Bait... Just playing around. I usually use P 10s. It's been two years since my wife and I were hit in that Motorcycle accident. There finally going to have a Hearing before the Judge on the 21st of this month. Who knows. It might be another year before we get any money out of them. If it goes to Court. I've spent all of my time for the past three years Studying Walleye Fishing on Lake Erie. Lol. So , I guess it's safe to say. I know more than the average guy. If you wanna know anything. Just ask. If I don't know the answer. I'll tell ya the truth. IDK. As far as you go. You've been in my thoughts. I haven't spoken to you in a long while. I've been worried to be honest. Thanks bro. I think it's gonna definitely extend my run time. Trying to catch my limit of eaters, then chase smallmouth in the evening, hopefully having enough battery power to do so. Only had to drill two holes, but it took me 7hrs to decide on the final position and work up the nerve to drill holes in my boat....lol
