Building the Ultimate Matchbox Car Collection is a journey through Matchbox's extensive catalogue of 1:64 scale diecast collectables. From Moko and Lesney to the latest releases, plus some cameos from Hot Wheels, Tomica and Majorette, This is my ever growing collection and my solution to the ever present problem...where to put them all?!
Just read an article about the death of prominent Perth architect Ralph Drexel, and how his granddaughters, Sophie and Rosie Bates, are selling off his 10,000 diecast cars, apparently auctioning them off one by one. Are you familiar with this story?
I deeply wonder how matchbox decides how many of each model to make. Some of these, I’ll never see in my US stores. But if i wanted to, i could easily own 250 of the Citroen Ami. And still they make more.
We are so far behind in the UK this year. Most store are still on mix 2 have seen mix 5. Only way to get th latest mixes is to go abroad. reat presentation though
The scope of my collection is very selective and I have been known to buy 5-packs and 9-packs for one casting. The rest? They go in a drawer and I hand them out at Halloween. It’s a big hit! Another great video Tyrone. Always enjoy riding along.
Supply's no better on the east coast. Recently found moving parts at a Coles and the Japanese series mixed in with standard power grabs at a Big W. I don't know what's going on...
Omg love this! I also had an old 5 pack in my video tonight with the same tow truck model! But your whole set is way better than mine! And loving the insert photos!
