Great selection of castings once again Tyrone. I have only ever found two Super Chases (zero STH) and they were both the MB Super Chase Corvette. Just dumb luck, really.
Something small like a matchbox car brings me grate joy. Its impossible to collect all castings due mostly to availability. If i see something cool at a store i grab it but i am not willing to over pay. The stress of super chase is something i don't want to have. Hopefully there will be enough cool casting for all .
I’ve only EVER found one chase. That same Mercedes wagon you showed from last year. I’d be happy just to find a few good mainlines this year. It’s very sparse in my neck of the woods. If it weren’t for 5 packs I’d have very very little. 😊
The Opel Kadette (Gemini) Super Chase will be this years most desired.I usually have no luck with chases but this year have been fortunately lucky enough to have found all the current mainline chases and the Moving Parts Evo when shop staff have been putting fresh stock out on the shelves.Luckily for Matchbox collectors, Super Chases are a lot cheaper on the secondary market compared to the eye watering prices for Hotwheels Supers.
Although I think modern matchbox are crap compared to the 60's, 70's and 80's made in England, I do love model cars. I have boxes of super kings, superfast and general matchbox cars, lorries etc languishing in my attic. Mattel ruined the brand imho. They have become clones of the inferior hot wheels. Matchbox also made trainsets, model soldiers and plastic model kits, which are now sought after. I've been to toy fairs, where they can't give loose matchbox away, modern stuff that is, the British ones command a fair price for customisation and diorama setting.......
