Wonderful tutorial! I followed it and am so happy with how my first replacement went. I'm currently working on my 2nd replacement. I shared the first finished product in one of my FB groups and everyone wanted instructions so I shared your video. Thanks again!
Thanks Wendy! You're that rare type of person who not only has a lot of skill but can also teach others a procedure clearly including all details. Very well done!
Hi Ladies, caught you on the replay. I will make a raincoat soon. Wendy, I made the Gladiator Apron in your Apron challenge 2017. Will be watching the rest of the Raincoat video. ❤❤❤
Thank you so Much for this video! I just redid the first panel of isinglass on our boat. It’s funny I didn’t have fabric tape to stick the hold isinglass down and I used carpet tape. Just a heads up carpet tape is super super sticky and it takes forever to get off isinglass ; )
I‘m about to buy an singer overlock machine and I was so afraid the thought of changing the threads and watching you do it, my hubby heard me say: „that sneaky thing to do is just genius „ 😮😮🎉🎉 I‘m a fan of your way to explain. thank you so much!!! 🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭
I’m going to attempt this myself after seeing your video, but I have 2 questions. What is the masking tape for? If I screw it up, what do you charge per panel? We are in metro Detroit!
First question, the masking tape is to hold the piece in place before you score it if you think you’re gonna cut through the vinyl. Price per panel is up to you on how much you think your labor is worth. And if you mess up, you just did the job for free.
I wish I had seen this vid when I began to use my Serger. It would have saved hours and hours of frustration. Thanks so much for the awesome tips and guidance. You are a gem. I was going to sell my serger but now i am so keeping it. Take care! 17:20
I really enjoy your video. I am looking forward to see everything, that I can learn from you. You were so right about giving up fear, and just try. It is fabulous; and just like you said it a sewing machine on steroids.
I owe you a BIG THANK YOU!!! I own the same overlock machine than you for about 8 years... I couldn't figure out how to adjust all the buttons on that thing! I have been finishing my fabric before sewing the garment on the sewing machine. I use to let the button settings always at the same position. Reading the manual in that specific case, was not enough for me. I needed to be shown and told. Now I am so happy... Finally, I got it and your best advice ever: Mark your machine! It helped me so much... thank you, thank you!!! I am now fearless in front of my serger 😃
WENDY, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU...FOR DEMYSTIFING MY NEW OVERLOCKER, Singer hd0405s, basically the same machine. I've watched many videos trying to learn things but yours was the one that just 'unlocked' it for me. You're a 🌟
It looks like the new vinyl stitches over the old vinyl. Leaving a layer of old vinyl under the stitch. How do you replace the vinyl Multiple times if you keep Leaving old layers of the old vinyl around the edge ?
