Frank Zappa used to say that his job was to decorate time with music. Vangelis did that, but took it further; he manipulated time with music. The opening piece of music in the movie Interstellar is a perfect example of manipulating time with music.
I first heard this music when I was four. Of course, I didn't understand what a game was then, but this music made me very emotional, tears came to my eyes when I heard it. 🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
It’s like witnessing the bridge from Aphrodite’s Child 666. linking to the Earth Album. What a rare performance and contrary to Vangelis’ assertion that he wasn’t into doing TV performances.
Bonsoir un génie avec les synth ,les claviers, les samplers. Même avec la percussion et producteur, aujourd'hui tout est fait avec des claviers maître, ordinateur et des daws, des instruments virtuels.
This is, for me, one of Vagelis's greatest works. I wonder if a film had ever been scored using it? It's so peaceful, so evocative. I think of a night sky, strewn with stars and the Mily Way, or maybe the vision of a saint or a lost love.

It’s been 25 or 30 years since I heard this music. It brought me to tears, not just because I love it, but because of all I, all WE have lost since then. We are just star stuff.
Vangelis really was master at using the Yamaha CS-80 synthesizer. As far as I know, this piece is only available on the bootleg versions of the "Blade Runner" soundtrack. It has never been officially released.
J'avais enregistré en VHS à l'époque, c'est un plaisir de revoir cette interview. Et je me rend compte qu'Eve Ruggieri ne comprends absolument rien à la musique!😂
I'm sure that the women were ready for Vangelis after the show, but then again even a man like Vangelis surely needed a long break from feminine adoration....maybe
