Ha! I literally just came across this short and didn't know I needed it. I was literally about to color my hair and then trim it. Thank you! (Yes, I'm using esalon and I'm so excited to try it!)
Why don't you actually tell us the name of product shades..the highlighting one is stupid a woman colours her hair & we then see a hairdresser talking and no results ..g network
no-one talks abouy how to cover partial greys. like srsly most ppl don't have grey hair grow in all at once like that. there's strands dispersed everywhere, even in the root
I've been using eSalon for almost 10 years! I love their color and products. You can't go wrong! The packaging is beautiful and the instructions are so clear!
If you buy Loreal Excellence creme hair color there is a comb looking thing with holes in them that you screw onto the bottle of color and it makes it much easier to do at home. Of course then you can't use esalon color but at least you get all your roots done.
Any tips for how we touch up the roots without covering the highlights you've put in previously? Do we skip the part that tells us to pour the remaining color through the lengths?
What volume peroxide is being used in this kit? I have ordered the kit and I would like to know the volume but it’s not listed in any of the descriptions.
I use henna to color my hair. I find that even after 6 hours of leaving henna on my hair I end up with some gray hairs in my temples. Suggestions please.
I disagree that bowl and brush is easier. It’s really not. Applying straight from the bottle is way easier. The color mixture is thick, so it comes out in a ribbon. You get an even amount of color applied at the section parting every time, which isn’t the case with the bowl and brush. Also it’s much cleaner, you don’t risk a blob of color falling off the brush. I apply the ribbon of color at the root parting then I blend it out on my roots with my fingers, and you can also use a brush to blend it out if you want. Then I use a rat tail comb to make my sections, and repeat the same thing with the bottle. My husband does the back of my hair for me, and he prefers the bottle as well. He feels he has way more control over the amount of color applied on the section parting.
I can’t stress how important toning is if you’re getting box platinum dye or bleach. I’ve watched 4 vids in a row and see the mistakes. I let my hair go a day or two after a wash w/out conditioner before doing my roots. Then I just use the conditioner tht came with it and not wash again til the day after.
