What started out as an idea for a socially distanced concert night has grown into something a bit more special.
Louisburgh's Businesses, Local People and Groups are getting ready to entertain you. Coming up will be a tour of a local farmers Sheep Maternity Ward, Steph Troy is going to harness her inner Bob Ross and show us what a joy painting can actually be. We have an Irish language cookery class, music from Tim Rogers, Michael Quinn and Pauline Graham, all streamed to you from the greater Louisburgh Community, proving that even though we may be physically distanced we are all still ostensibly here and are a community as strong as ever.
We will start broadcasting on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th of March with two evenings of programming and have a video or two each week after this. Watch out on social media for our TV Listings and don't forget to subscribe and ring the bell so you don't miss a thing.

18:57 I watched a video of the Carrowkennedy ambush 75th anniversary and it mentions the convoy were returning from Leenane after terrorizing the Wallaces and in this video it says they were heading from Westport before getting ambushed?
@@cpfcfan95 This is about what happened in Ireland at that time relating to how the people living there reacted to an inforced The English who had invaded Ireland and succeded over a few centuries in penal laws and horrid unspeakibable acts tried to subjue , but failed to do . A massive tribute to our ancestors never relented to that horrid foreign invasion . so please explaise the other side .
@@liamog03 How difficult would it have been to provide diversity and inclusion to ensure truth of the situation - any situation for that matter. The sinews of community are diversity and inclusion. A poor man's hagiographer is a bigot. My point was to not spark up some discourse/debate in RU-vid's comment section because the discourse/debate is going on in the newspapers for decades . My point was the video lacked the national discourse of diversity and inclusion, to consider and have in mind all narratives and let the audience decide. It little too late to offer a different perspective since the video has been long published. So anyways, good luck with your future endeavours. 😁👍
Thanks for recounting some history of my ancestors from Louisberg. Martin O Reilly is my great uncle. I'm only learning about my family history in the last few years. Maith thu!
My family history is leading me in strange directions, and whilst researching Louisburgh, birthplace of my Granddad, John Joseph Gibbons, I came across your video. This episode is relayed by yourselves with such feeling, and compassion, that I had tears in my eyes by the end. I need to know more as I admit to being ignorant of so much Irish History :( . Thank you so much for telling this story . Love and blessings to you all xxx
Thank you all, especially Liam and Charlie. Very educational, and especially moving because we're viewing your film on 4 July in America, celebrating our independence from our common oppressor!
A wonderful walking tour down Main Street and then Bridge Street. Reminds me of my many visits when I would walk the same route, except I would likely have stopped in at the Gala for coffee, and again at McNamara's Bar for a cup of tea. Lovely to see al the shop fronts and town houses so well cared for. Brilliant narration, looking forward to more of the same!
That was lovely to see. We spent some time staying not far from Louisburgh last August and I fell in love with the place. Lovely area and lovely people.
