I remember getting Journeyman project turbo , it came with a cd rom my dad bought for our old gateway pc , and it had a preview trailer for buried in time, I remember going to an old store called Egghead Software with my dad to get it soon as we finished JMP Turbo, and it didn't disappoint. I always come back to listen to this wonderful soundtrack, or watch playthroughs, loved Arthur, my favorite map was Chateau Gaillard, I just loved this game, When JMP turbo was redone and put on steam I was kinda hoping this game would also get the same treatment.
It's a shame that the only audio source we have is the game data. Would've liked to get our hands on the master recordings. The noise in the originals always bothered me so much. These sound way better but you can still hear the filter removing some crispness.
Unfortunately the soundtrack cuts off and or repeats at odd places which is not right. Any chance of cntacting the author to fix it? It's simply not as complete as it could be and many iconic passages of some of the songs are completely missing.
One of the first games that truly enchanted me. I didn't speak English back then but boy did I annoy my family continuously asking, "what does that mean?" 😂 I was 6 when this came out but I'll never forget how happy I was when I first cast the light spell in the caves and everything lit up. Mind you, those were top notch graphics. Like Doom but with complexity.
Loved the game... AND THE MUSIC! very trippy experience... loved many Cryo Games although they were mediocre I liked their cinematic aspect. Many many cutscenes.
Nostalgia hits real hard ! :D Now I NEED to loop these bangers in my ears for a while. :D I recently finished this first opus (Architect's Edition, the second) whereas when i was little i could not even pass the room with 1-4 rows of roaches in Webfoot demo (died at 3, while 4 is easy), almost 20 years ago. :'D But AE did not have the original Webfoot OST. Therefore i was craving for the original ! :D Some other post i found first was a little edited in instrument rendering so i am extra happy with this one closer to original. I can alternate versions with mood. :D Anyway banger one day, banger forever ! :D Thx.
