@@OhioBargainPicker That’s great! The starting price for any plush here is $2.50-ish. Doesn’t matter if it’s from the Dollar Tree or McDonalds. Anything like that Garfield or a Build-a-Bear starts at $9. The pricing is so stupid right now. I just hope folks don’t actually buy anything so GW learns. I’ve walked out with nothing the last few times I’ve been there.
I brought those coke cola glasses the first one u showed first from the goodwill a set of 4.... about a month ago "GREAT PICKUP" HAVEN'T SOLD YET BUT I LISTED THEM ON MACARI
Slowly working my way up there it’s tough sometimes, but I just keep pushing out videos for my viewers and something I enjoy doing when I am not working at my other job
Im subbed ... I live in ohio to i moved here from Brooklyn NY i picked this new hobby selling things online from yard sales and thrift stores i love doing this i sell on macari..... good luck ✌🏾
I usually sell anything I can make a profit on,I haven’t posted on eBay lately,I have a video I’ve been working on just trying to get it edit at the moment so I can upload it soon
Do you have Valley Thrift Stores in your part of Ohio? I live in SW Ohio & like to shop Valley Thrift. They support Vietnam Vets, are open 7 days a week, they have 25% off each Monday & 50% off each holiday they are open. Good luck!
I’m in Toledo and have my own channel called Downs Dad Picker where we take my 3 year old daughter with Downs Syndrome to garage sales, thrift stores and estate sales. Please view us and subscribe if it’s something you find exciting.
If you buy the starter store use the custom sku. Watch some videos on it saves me lots of time. I have a bin for t shirts. I list them package and just write the custom sku on the package. It sells I print labor right over the marker
I like using my clear bins. Do you have a ebay store? Make sure you use the custom SKU to put your bin location on. eBay starter store is only $5 a month
Just a little time always pick up Scissors if you see them cheap. You would be surprised how many pairs you will lose. Why is are they called a pair of scissors if there is only one?
Heads up on searching hot wheels and matchbox and the like. Use: year, country made, and colors of vehicle, and if it has special rims/wheels. Example: some 1997 XYZ red car is $8, while a green is $25. Just an example though. And with buying huge lots, there are always a few gems, lesser gems, better commons, then a ton of low $$ commons. I did the same with a 1700 new/sealed DVD lot I bought for $500. A few over $150, a few over $100, a handful $80, a bunch ~$40, etc... and majority $6-9. Free shipping OFC. The rest I lotted by genres of lots of 100.
Also might want to stock up on some of those alcohol/hand sanitizer wipes, fluids, they can be excellent for cleaning off things that who knows where they came from?? No wonder it stinks, most people aren't going to actually clean wipe anything they donate.. the hand cleaners also very good for taking off stickers gently.. In the Los Angeles area on Craigslist you'll find in some of the more interesting areas of town that they will have entire pallets of wipes, gallons of sanitizer, lots of small bottles of individual sanitizer, they could be great for cleaning around the house, frequently touched surfaces your sinks faucets corners of the bathroom, the toilet bowl.. you can't sell them but they're useful..
You also might want to blown your nose, maybe taking something, the cameras picking up all of your nose sniffing, and the wiping with your arm slash whatever.. not very attractive, I know it's cold but just saying??
Hopefully this wasn't the only reason that you went into town, you need to get a better line on when they're restocking.. bringing out new carts, Flats, roller tables.. donations may be down since it's post holiday, lots of people just put their stuff out on the curb, and lieu of donating.. perhaps you should also start working Facebook Marketplace, might have better luck.. also Google Lens might be your friend..
Heya, I'm in Mentor. Lived in Kent and Akron throughout the years. There's a bins in Akron on S. Arlington Rd just north of Waterloo Rd. And one in Canton - across from a Salvation Army. I have not been to any bins in years. Though good deals on smalls and media. I stay as far away from any clothing and shoes as possible. Only $50+ belts, ties, and hats. Clothing is nothing but returns, complaints, NADs, etc, etc. The smells that bins clothes have... minor, not-noticed stains; snags; holes; crinkles, etc. Not worth it to me... At the end of the year, it almost does not matter what you pay for items, it's the total profit that the tax man sees.
Donation's, are not cleaned, who knows where they came from?.. as far as clothing soft-goods these items are never laundered, who knows what they've been exposed to.. bodily fluids, rat droppings, a lot of dirt, sharp objects - many people just bring in unsorted plastic bags of crapola they don't want.. you might want to feel like taking a shower after crawling through this stuff, this one actually looks pretty clean compared to things I've seen on other videos... the cost per pound is very random depending on the area, in the Los Angeles area or other large metropolitan areas they can be quite expensive... the price is also can drop with the more tonnage or pounds that you buy... So you have stuff that could have been exposed to anything, sometimes even the fellow Shoppers probably could use a bath -- not my business model, or of any interest -- I don't do bins but certain parts of Los Angeles they're located in the SKEZZYEST areas... This is why a lot of people that are selling new with tags from dubious sources always Steam and press things to get them looking correct... Post pandemic most the stores won't even allow you to try anything on anyways, except perhaps sliding on a pair of shoes... many times people cut the tags off of things, it's very difficult to sell untagged unsized clothing... In Long Beach in a interesting weird area they actually auction them off by the pallet.. might be Target returns, might be just a huge box of unrelated odd things, many times with lots of broken glassware, stemware can be particularly dangerous with sharp edges.. perhaps this is not the thing for you??
Everyone wears gloves at the bins! Broken glass, tableware, kitchen knives, and all sorts of gross and dirty things are in the bins. I’m there every week and keep spare gloves in the car
I'm in Xenia just east of Dayton. I frequent the Dayton bins. Do you follow any other sellers. You might want to check out Dad Planet. He's in Columbus and he has lots of info about clothes and shoes. I just subbed to your channel.
