I'm in Xenia just east of Dayton. I frequent the Dayton bins. Do you follow any other sellers. You might want to check out Dad Planet. He's in Columbus and he has lots of info about clothes and shoes. I just subbed to your channel.
Heya, I'm in Mentor. Lived in Kent and Akron throughout the years. There's a bins in Akron on S. Arlington Rd just north of Waterloo Rd. And one in Canton - across from a Salvation Army. I have not been to any bins in years. Though good deals on smalls and media. I stay as far away from any clothing and shoes as possible. Only $50+ belts, ties, and hats. Clothing is nothing but returns, complaints, NADs, etc, etc. The smells that bins clothes have... minor, not-noticed stains; snags; holes; crinkles, etc. Not worth it to me... At the end of the year, it almost does not matter what you pay for items, it's the total profit that the tax man sees.
Do you have Valley Thrift Stores in your part of Ohio? I live in SW Ohio & like to shop Valley Thrift. They support Vietnam Vets, are open 7 days a week, they have 25% off each Monday & 50% off each holiday they are open. Good luck!
I usually sell anything I can make a profit on,I haven’t posted on eBay lately,I have a video I’ve been working on just trying to get it edit at the moment so I can upload it soon
Donation's, are not cleaned, who knows where they came from?.. as far as clothing soft-goods these items are never laundered, who knows what they've been exposed to.. bodily fluids, rat droppings, a lot of dirt, sharp objects - many people just bring in unsorted plastic bags of crapola they don't want.. you might want to feel like taking a shower after crawling through this stuff, this one actually looks pretty clean compared to things I've seen on other videos... the cost per pound is very random depending on the area, in the Los Angeles area or other large metropolitan areas they can be quite expensive... the price is also can drop with the more tonnage or pounds that you buy... So you have stuff that could have been exposed to anything, sometimes even the fellow Shoppers probably could use a bath -- not my business model, or of any interest -- I don't do bins but certain parts of Los Angeles they're located in the SKEZZYEST areas... This is why a lot of people that are selling new with tags from dubious sources always Steam and press things to get them looking correct... Post pandemic most the stores won't even allow you to try anything on anyways, except perhaps sliding on a pair of shoes... many times people cut the tags off of things, it's very difficult to sell untagged unsized clothing... In Long Beach in a interesting weird area they actually auction them off by the pallet.. might be Target returns, might be just a huge box of unrelated odd things, many times with lots of broken glassware, stemware can be particularly dangerous with sharp edges.. perhaps this is not the thing for you??
Everyone wears gloves at the bins! Broken glass, tableware, kitchen knives, and all sorts of gross and dirty things are in the bins. I’m there every week and keep spare gloves in the car
