@porboi1 I usually do landscape, but the app was giving me issues and forced me to do portrait. I will look into it and address it in the future videos.
@@swordsman111982 nice to hear that. I'm thinking of including this light into my budget reefing gear series. What is the spread of the light? Thanks for the comment! :)
@@Reefscom i had 2 in line above my fluval evo 13.5 ( 18” x 11” ), but i found it was too much light for my LPS. So i switch to just one and it works great.
Burping is a complete myth and completely unnecessary. Clams in the wild are completely exposed to air during low tide for hours. FW dip should only be performed on a clam suffering from PMD, it has no benefit other than treating PMD.
Your Video editing level is awesome. Your video content is really Wow!!! Actually If you give me permission. I will share some information to increase your channel. Then you get lots of subscribe and views......
It's just amazing, I just discover your method last night. On my side I use calcium reactor for my 380 gal reef tank. Did you have negative effects at the beginning when you adjust for the proper dosing of kalk? From what I understand with your method, I should disconnect my calcium reactor and use only kalk for a better result? Do you add kalk at night only, all time or twice a day? Is there a danger for calcium precipitation if you add too much too fast? Thanks for your advice
@@Reefscom will do! Been trying to see if more people are running it and there isn’t too many for as large as Geo market is. It’s an amazing built unit though!
@Reject06 Oh, there are tons of people using it. Professionally, I have seen them in seaworld, battle corals, tsa, biota aquariums, and public aquariums. (I also think wwc as well) in the hobby for youtubers, I know deven from reefdude has one, I think Mokyi of inappropriate reefer has one as well. I know there are quite a few that run them. Although I'm not entirely sure who has the latest sse line ups.
@@Reefscom yeah most people run the other design only RU-vidr that I know that uses the SSE lineup is FishofHex. Guess that’s a good thing when there isn’t any content because it’s solid 💪
I always willing to try new light. But so far I am satisfied with my old light ai26hd custom version by Luxdium. I think you should make an interview with luxdium.
Richard, Good video. Unfortunately these won't work on my canopy tank but always good to hear about new products. My question: How does the Par readings on the Par-wise compare to the Apogee? I own a Par-wise.
Hey Rob! Thanks for watching the video. They have done many things right with this light, and i think it will bring positive changes to many lights moving forward. Par reading on parwise, from what I was told, was lower than mq510. Which is why I measured the PAR using the industry standard apogee PAR meter.
No, I don't think that they do. However, it's easy to do with creating your own settings and pressing that button once you initiate coral feeding response with the lights.
When fixtures are made, some percentage of light bleeds within the light. Every light fixture does this up to certain degrees. This unit tried to eliminate that.
Lovely looking lights, I am not a fan (excuse the pun) of the large brick type LED fixtures available nowadays. If I had not purchased AI Blades these would certainly be an option.
Sold mine for reefi, colors of the straton is ugly to yellowish l and results are more bad than my previous radions, or orphek. Und reefi the corals colored again better. And they are way to expensive for what they do. They lack also of pop and the blue is not nice, to much power in the white and not enough in the blue. The only good things is the design and not strong side glare. In Germany man sell it again
Hmmm, that's strange because it was pretty blue to me when I cranked these up 100 percent intensity on all channels to test the overall spectrum. On spectrumeter, it registered a bit more bluer hues, low in reds, yellow, and I think this was so because they don't have any warm white led diodes in them. Either way, the good thing is that you have choices to go with if the colors are not up to your liking. I'm glad to hear that you have found your light in reefi. I have heard many good things about them.
This is the kind of comment that is 100% personal preference.the adjustment of colour spectrum is almost overwhelming pretty much any colour is possible (the above poster just didn’t know how to use them 😊) Again we all have seen comments like this when Philips released the coral care 2…..the American market loves blue light and tend to hate on full spectrum
I love my original Stratons. Seeing these I would so love to upgrade mine, but for now, the originals are doing a fine job at growing and coloring Mattie's Reef. Enjoy the new light. Great review.
Hey Phil! Yea, I was pleasantly surprised at how good these lights are. Honestly, there are 3 or 4 lights that I wouldn't mind on my tank, and this is one of them. ATI really did a phenomenal job with this one.
I absolutely love Reef Nutrition products. They are a bit hard to find locally, so I buy all I can when I can. I will say I feed phytofeast almost every day and it has made my tank so clear it looks like there is no water in the tank. I feed a lot and have no nuisance algae in my tank. My fish and corals love all your products!!!!
Hi! I sent out to 1 company, and the results were very close in major elements, some off on minor traces and ions. I am eventually going to send it out to another icp company as well to compare notes.
I’m interested in a clam from you! I’m great friends with my 4 local fish stores. If you hook me up I will lean on thier shoulder and recommend you to all of them!
Sorry, unfortunately, I'm not a seller. I just report what's new and exciting in the hobby. You can reach out directly to Biota for any personal inquiries. Have a good one!
True, but it doesn't completely remove the saturation in complete, all blue settings. At least not on my s22 ultra 😅. Dang it, I still want it available just on the principal alone! 😆
If it's me (interviewer) you are referring to, yea, I was a little bit surprised, but somewhat expected that as well. Look at yurple at 10k and poma lab 's Hybrid angels for a similar rate. I just hope that with time, it will all come down and affordable for all.
@@rhombifer566 Those of us that live in Hawaii are seeing less and less of our beautiful reef fish as poachers are raping our reefs. When they get caught, they just dump all the beautiful fish in the trash to die . Sad
@bxchris haha thanks. I guess I'm kind of used to the prices of the f1 lines of hybrid species. Heck, one of my first interviews 12, 13 years ago was about 30000 dollars, peppermint angelfish 😆. Like I said previously, i hope that it will be scaled to a commercial scale where we will see a drastic drop in prices. (Remember yellow tangs were 500 bucks? Once upon a time? Now you can find them on sale for 99 bucks on petco due to commercial scaling of the captivebreeding efforts. I'm looking forward to more advancements from these talented breeders even if i can't afford them. 😀
