I did this and when I took the muffler off there was no arrester screen. Gave it a good clean anyway but when I tried the start the chainsaw, I ran but as soon as it was idle it could out and I could t get it started again.
Great comparison. I just ordered a kit for my Forester XT 2014. I live in Sweden and it's tough to find quality stuff around here. Luckily, I'm visiting my brother in Adelaide for a couple of weeks so I ordered a kit to be shipped to him, and I'll bring it home in checked baggage👍
Great, watching your video has convinced me to take my 046 magnum to the saw shop! No way am i going to get my saw apart let alone put it back together with the new part!
Hi mate, thanks for the heads up on ignition coil,no problems so far i just ordered a spare coil from Jono and Jono. Spare parts are cheap and available for this beast. Happy Trails regards Nick.
Hey man I have a question, does this worm gear directly go in contact with the crankshaft or is there a bearing or it doesn't even touch? I'm trying to figure it out for a cad model
The parts stores sell you a much thinner axle seal than stock so you don't have to drive it in very far past the face of the housing. But I did drive the first seal in a long ways without thinking but it has sealed so far. It runs on the collar you press onto the axle to hold the bearing so it's long enough to seal I reckon no matter where you drive it in. If you buy a collar with taper on one end , put the taper towards the seal. BTW my cousin drove in two axle seals on his Sammy on each side. Just like the Trackers if gear oil leaks into the axle bearing the bearing will fail quickly.
Hey brother, you have tutorials how to drilled carb 3120 and install h-jet screw for adjustment torque? I see some videos some guys do it but without details… And maybe u know which coil need for 3120 to unlimited torque, maybe oem 272 or just oem black 3120?
Watching you making liberal use of the air and power wrench and whacking the steering ball joint and the centre shaft with a hammer was like watching a baby seal get slaughtered. That's how unobtainium parts are ruined by mechanics who should have known better.
It’s on a paddock basher so it’s definitely seen worse. If it breaks I will find a way to fix it, it’s what you have to do. If you want to pay me for the extra time it would have taken with air tools feel free.
@@v26224 I have been restoring cars and doing mechanical automotive work for more than 15 years, mostly aircooled VW but I also have an LJ80 that i resurrected from the dead last winter. Tell me what you want, but sloppy work is sloppy work and sticks out in a video like a sore thumb.
@@v26224 So just because i don't have any videos on my channel I cannot comment on hack jobs and lousy work ethics? If for example in a restaurant you see a guy throwing the Pizza dough on the floor, picking it up and using it for a customer you don't have the right to comment because you don't have pictures of Pizzas you've made yourself?
I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle ru-vid.comUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.
Just stumbled across this video. That’s quite interesting with the issue you ran into with the Gabrielle struts, but good to know. Also thanks for the shoutout to my channel!
I know it’s what they teach but that is the worst way of starting a saw! When the day comes (and it will!) that the starter jams, you are yanking the rear handle right into your balls.
