Onya mate, good to see a young bloke who is so good on the tools. I reckon you had a good teacher. A few questions.... Do you put the crank in the freezer before pushing in? Do you install the c/case gkt dry? I note that you do not use loctite 242 etc on this part of the build anyway, just not necessary? I'm sure you didn't tighten up the clutch before putting a sprocket on it.... that's the sort of mistake I'd make lol. All the best from far south coast NSW, you're in Vic somewhere?
i didn't freeze the crank as my shed is bloody cold in winter. dry crank case gasket. no base gasket delete as the saw is very large and powerful as it is and the compression is already high. i tightened the clutch off screen. and yes central Victoria.
