Just fooling around with random videos. I usually record dirt biking, sledding, and other toys with my contour GPS. Sometimes I'll do some more technical videos.
@swss12 The cell could doped up and mixed with something else that allowes them to be charged with a loer temperarure without damaging them... On the other hand they just usevthe wrong bms or it was programmed wrong. On the other hand, someone could get a $15 temperatur controller to turn off a charge controller when the temps go down to the freezing point and they come with a 12 volt and orher operating voltsges.
Bought one a year agoo. Lasted 32 charging cycles and stopped charging. I try for 35 days now to get the problem solved with the company. No result till today!
expansion foam in bottom and pouch cells pressed into it to glue down. nothing on sides is why it is hollow. the UL logo photoshopped on for advertising photos is a tad aggravating.
Hi thanks for this video. I have opened mine. It is made with 12pcs of pouch cells fixed with foam. No visual temp sensors, Might be one inside the BMS as it seems to work. Problem might be cold chargeing if bms get warm when used i will allow charge below -10C. I have done short video showing insideru-vid.com8HGzO3XKVlg?feature=share
i think no body make a video about TCB WORTH you are the first one i'm looking for teardown video for that tcbworth but unfortunately no i can't find none🙄
turned out great. had it for a whole pretty wet season. no rust so far. great thing about this can is that its small enough so that you dont have to remove it when taking off the chain case/oil tank cover so it saves a ton of time. well worth it for the cheapest can out there.v
+Simon Shaimaiyuk it's awesome. held up so far with no issues. my buddy had two MBRPs (stainless) and both have cracked. one had to be replaced. the GGB is good for the price.
+Devo yeah I was thinking of going with the mbrp but I'm not a fan of the sound. especially now that I hear of the cracks. I'm glad I chose the GGB mountain can. a steal for what it costs. thanks for the input!
Mark Thacker hello, the axle splines should go through the hub with ease and then the hub assembly should be aligned and slide through the spindle block. you may need to put some grease on the hub-to-spindle surfaces to help you out. hope that helps.
forums say 133 ft-lbs for the hub assembly. 220 is for the big front caliper bolts. 220 is way too much for the smaller hub assembly bolts anyways. they are smaller than lug nuts and those are to 140.
I finally had the time and good weather to do the job in my driveway. it took me 4 hours. had to go get 3/8 drive and smaller socket for one of the 3 hub bolts. Got all the specs for the torque. I am very proud of this job. I am gonna do all my breaks and rotors as well. Thank you for your help!
Hi boss, can you tell me if this works... I am ready to ordered this sockets. Powerbuilt 648472 1/2-Inch Drive x 36mm Axle Nut Socket. TEKTON 47773 1/2 in. Drive by 18mm Shallow Impact Socket, Cr-V, 6-Point. And two other sockets other 15mm and 19mm. Did you use all 1/2" and they fit well in the tight spaces at the back of the hub? 18" Torque wrench, 1/2" drive 24" and 18" breaker bar, and some other stuff. Thanks!
Hi - I suggest you get someone who is more familiar with cars to either help you, or do it for you. A mechanic at a shop should be able to do it in 2-4 hours if theyve done it before. That's 200-400$ done professionally. Given that the hubs on amazon are a fraction of the oem price from the dealership, the labour cost isnt that much.
Devo I know...But I want to do it. Someone was going to install my part for $150 but i decided to take on the challenge. Two mo ago here in MD, a mechanic replaced the driver side hub assembly for $500. They want the same $500 for the passenger side. I didn't think it was a fair price...Dont worry I can do it if a have the right tools....Thanks!
Very instructive video boss...I need to do this on my 4x4 1500 Sierra 2004, 5.3L. I never worked on cars before, so I need to buy some tools. Can you tell me what kind and size tools I need to buy. I already bought the bearing assembly from Amazon for $138.00. Thank You!
well you will need an imperial and metric 1/2" socket set and wrenches right away. a flat head screwdriver is needed for the axle nut cap/cover. as for the CV axle nut, get a 6 point 36mm socket. you may want to actually check online to make sure the 1500 has the same size nut as the 2500 trucks. you will also need a breaker bar, jack, jack stands, etc. the only odd tool required that most people dont have on hand is the 36mm socket. make sure you have some penetrating oil or WD40 to help loosen some nuts. make sure all the nuts are torqued to spec since this is very critial parts of the vehicle. you do not want your caliper falling off. check online forums or the service manual for exact torque specs. i was doing it from memory.
Ha ha... damn, well nowi know which one I'm getting. That's the Roam 2 right. I'm gonna look now that I know the GPS is Good, thanks for the replies man
well im pretty sure the gas was drained before it sat for all the years... thank god. if yours is all gummed up, take out the carb carefully (the screws get stripped easily), just let it soak in a carb cleaner type solvent for a day or so (totally submerged), then use a paperclip, etc. to clean out the jets at the bottom. take them out even.. and clean the bowl. cant help u with electrical issues.. the electrical should last forever. just take out the plugs and test em for sparks. cheers
