AIR WARFARE GROUP [Sim Training & Military History]

Air Warfare - Fighting in the air-to-air and air-to-surface environment is a relatively new form of combat, spanning
a period of just over 100 years. During that time, rapid technological development has spurred progress from
very primitive weapon systems to the present beyond visual range and "point and shoot" capabilities of
modern fighters. Nevertheless, the very basic principles of aerial combat have remained virtually
unchanged, seasoned only by actual combat and training experiences.

Aerial combat is by far the most difficult aspect of flight to understand and master. The arena is very dynamic, and the skills used must be learned over time. Personal desire and discipline will determine how quickly the individual masters the required skills. We honor all those who have served before us with passion and realism using the Digital Combat Simulator software.

Through Discipline, Dedication, and Teamwork, we rise to the mission!
I ❤️ AIRPLANES!

The Winwing full cockpit main panel is (near) endgame material and looks great. Despite loving the tactile feedback of feedback actual switches and knobs, I’m personally leaning towards using 1 or more tablets for instrument/MFD and UFC/ICP emulation, to have a more airframe (and car) agnostic solution to suit a wide variety of aircraft and cars (racing sims) having a dual use racing/flying rig build in mind. I know I have a huge learning curve ahead of me with Helios, Matric app and the DCS UFC app, possibly mixing and matching them. Still having a pre-fab near complete cockpit experience tailored to specific aircraft is nice to see. And the Winwing F/A-18 MIP is flexible enough to use with other aircraft. I’m sure one could make a front panel frame with aluminum profile, where you could enable relatively easy rearrangement of the panels (i.e. flipping the left MFD and center UFC/ICP). Keep the videos coming Juice. Btw, the aluminum profile based “ejection” seat is something I’m looking forward to seeing more of.

@AIRWARFAREGROUP
@AIRWARFAREGROUP 2 дня назад
Well, if you're using it for war thunder, you don't have to worry about it. 🤪 I really can't say cause I've never kept tracked up time. DCS is my escape from the clock unless I have a time over the target hack to meet and then time is crucial! 😉 I will say that once you pick an aircraft to go through and set up and really think about what controls you want for each input, all the other jets go faster because you now have a flow and commonality settings to avoid negative transfer. The amount of time you spend on the ground will save you time in the air in combat or when doing a crucial procedure. Human factors and aviation is real, even in DCS as I have found. Good luck.

Being in the AO of Afghanistan with over a billion dollar base built in the rear. And f-16s and A10 warthogs. I'm an old US Navy rotor head so I was able to go in with the Apaches on their flank but never did go into the valley of Tehran as they called the valley of death. I will not say entirely but most was ch-47s insertion of howitzers and the squadron with the ammo on Outpost on the highest portions of the mountains at the CH-47 could get to and insert the squadron. Isis would not fight near the poppy fields and they like any other cowards would hide in populations where the US and NATO would not get into. Training facilities for isis and other Spurs wood train and narrow entry valleys and such. Locating them was not very difficult. But you're talking about wood and ladders and training fields at that cost less than a community park here in the US. But I'm really waiting for is the world war II Pacific theater with the f4u-4 and the hellcats. I believe they're all going to come out at the same time. The Corsair with the 22° Wing design is probably was holding them up. I'm sure that the mechanics inside the cockpit is not. The rest is pretty straightforward. Now the Afghan army is in the population and with retired Navy seals and as such helping them orchestrate to clear them out of their cities even as we speak in Afghanistan. Unfortunately, they don't have the fortitude to push forward without a retired US soldier telling them that it's going to be all right. Everything has risk. Trillions of dollars flush down the toilet in Afghanistan. Now DCS can end other squadrons can create many scenarios that are not factual and make it fun I guess. I'm in Apache right now. The longbow pulling all the attributes I can out of it including being lobo. I can't find a squadron that's totally Helo or supports that fundamental support. I have the ch-47 OTW I jumped on that on the first day just like the phantom. I'll eventually get to the phanto but I need to be able to function at Apache and sometimes it's just too easy on hard targets. Even in lobo. I don't even have George set up. I function everything from the rear and lobo mode. Maybe when everything gets up and running maybe I can jump in with you guys and have some fun. I love the intro! That's pretty cool. 👊😎

Salute to you Rags...thanks for sharing. You wouldn't like flying with us--we're no fun. I hear you about finding servers for heli-specific ops and if you can't find one, do the tough task of setting one up. Find one guy mature enough to work like you want to do it and team up...that's what we did, and at the point of where we are now, compared to where we were a few years ago, it's hard. People come and go, schedules change, and the sad fact, is most gamers don't get it..."Why do we have no bombs on the jets, how come there aren't more targets to shoot, when are we going to Dogfight?" Frick'en Kids right? To each is own...but Good Luck on your quest! You can build it. 🚁🚁🚁

@RagsHSC-7
@RagsHSC-7 2 дня назад
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP Oh I loved it man! I loved the video that y'all put up. I thought it was awesome and would be a awesome recruiting. On my server it's by invitation only. So as kids come in acting as vets by listening to their dad, uncles or Grandpa's trying to slide in. It is hard to find those at are committed. Being in a Mach 2 aircraft hitting the AO within 15 minutes as such is not hard to find. Finding Helo pilots true Hilo pilots. It really takes commitment because the ride takes time to get to the enemy. AO and then you have to make it back. The way the system set up you can destroy as many targets as you have ordinance. Then choose another role on the base and go back and do it again. That's not how it should be. So I would have created my own server with a good map and I believe I can do that in the Sinai or Syria or even in the Pacific theater when that comes up. Recreating, Vietnam and Korea. Yeah, it's going to take a long-term investment in time then vetting. But absolutely I loved it. Y'all did a jam up job with that 👊😎
@AIRWARFAREGROUP
@AIRWARFAREGROUP 2 дня назад
I think veterans that touch the mission and we're actually there get it. It might be lost on the casual gamer though. I fine with all the problems in the world now it's really hard for me to want to trivialize warfare with a video game. That's why I stick to teamwork training and SOP and the brief or seldom introduction. We might have to do like something you see top gun Maverick. My fighter pilot buddies call it drilling holes in the sky for the occasional chance to drop something.
@RagsHSC-7
@RagsHSC-7 2 дня назад
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP I gotcha 👊😎 Having a Helo company especially after airstrikes on Sam's. Brother, we could go in there and clean it up like nobody's business and move on. If I could get this going we could possibly combine the two squadrons. I was part of the 7th division of the third Air Wing on cv67. I mean they really don't have to be vets to be able to participate. I feel but they have to be committed. I know things happen at home but when it happens on every Friday night mission where everybody signs up and only a couple show up 🫣 You spend all week creating it and working the bugs out tweaking it which they have no idea how long that takes. Hours everyday until Friday night. Especially if you're only by yourself creating the mission on a particular map. IDK sometimes it goes great but a lot of time it goes right down the crapper. I wish y'all all the blessings in the world that y'all can hold in many more. I appreciate you taking your time with me. God bless brother 🕊️❤️🕊️

2 thumbs up!!.... I hope the CH47D is "enjoyable" & "flyable"... would love nothing more than to be able to hover and accurately land on insertion/extraction points, (and actually INSERT and EXTRACT something!) To pilots, Helicopters are weird and have no logic!... in DCS, to me the control responses are illogical! and overreactive!...gyroscopic precession and inertial resistance should be ramped WAY UP!

But we have two former military helicopter pilots, one Blackhawk and one Sea-king and we have a playlist for helicopter ops to help you out if you do a RU-vid search for air warfare group helicopters, you will find additional videos for helping set up controls for helicopter flying in DCS.
