Today we launched a light division on a Syria Range Training Sortie and I shot some footage from the Airboss station to get into the mood. I wonder how much control and manageability we'll get from this feature. I hope it's extensive.

It‘s not in todays update. 24/05/03 is just a hotfix with kola map.

Yep...it's only May 3, still lots more days in the month to go. BTW, someone assumed that the SC updates will need VulkanAPI and that is a rumor only. Stay tuned...we're close to having this.

Depends on your weight according to Jell-O...AB on CV launch is kind of like wearing your ribbons..."Some, None, or All" The guy on CAT 1 was the new noobie and he put in too much AB and kept it in too long. The first guy that shot off on CAT 4 was the cool guy ;^) me.

@Mark_Point, That's a good point and Nick Grey has told me that it is substantial and took 4 times as much resources as they anticipated. He didn't mention VULKAN to me.

@TobyBrampton, thank you for this question. Yes, two actually, including the top guy, Nick Grey. If you skim through the comments on the other SC videos, you'll find a comment or two from him...and in one, he explained how SC took 4 times as much time and resources as they estimated back during initial development. Part of that, I'm sure, is the new game engine enhancements like MT, DLSS, and maybe VULKAN if Mark_Point is onto something about it being needed for that. I was also told, barring any unforeseen, last minute glitches, we'll most likely see a 90% complete product by the end of this month. And if it's delayed again, I'm fine with that. To me, DCS is not a game, but a teamwork training simulator that is always evolving.

Lets not forget the words of DCS on 2 April 2021.... "The 3D Air Boss (PriFly) station will come with the possibility to control deck flood lights, the speed and direction of the carrier, and monitor the PLAT camera. In addition, we will implement launch and recovery operations from the Air Boss (PriFly) via 5MC messages." So.... A simple Helm to set Course and Speed (entire group or individual ships would be a bonus) Simple Radar...range 150 miles? We can steer Tanks and Jeeps!... but not these billion dollar ships! I know this is ad nauseam....

Man, I would totally geek out on a whole carrier strike group pack where that's the mission. 😀
