Im having a problem with to much travel for non print moves. It makes sense if there are 2 objects across the bed. But my designs are solid, and nothing is disconnected. I want my slicer to always travel a path that is printing.
How about a video where you can have an open project then add an .svg or other file on top of it. Then join them to make one object for printing. I am trying to have a thin flat surface open in Bambu studios then bring in a .svg logo file to place on top of it to use for display. I have not been successful yet.
Hi...great video. I would have liked to find the exact penguin you used so I could follow the steps...exactly. I found some that were close but there was a charge. The real thing I was looking for is one that had the "stroke" around it. The one I used was a thin black line but, was not separate like in your example. Any chance you could share a link to the file you used? Thanks...tw Later....By the way, I figured it out. I snipped a jpg of your penguin and then converted it to and outline svg, broke it apart and then colored it back. Worked fine....thanks
The "fat" connector (close to you in the video) has a slot that prevents connecting in the wrong position. The "Flat" connector (away from you in the video) does not have such a slot. What is the correct position to insert it ? it has a blank side and a side with the copper wires. I am assuming copper side pointing outside (right in your video). I thid correct ?
At 4:55 you show us the answer already exists and is there on screen while you complain it isn’t there (ctrl-1 thru -6) 😅 Get a 3Dconnexion knob with the view buttons there and put your other hand to use :)
You da man Mr. Peabody. I had to drop your Patreon because Discord is doodoo. I learned --*everything*-- needed to know from you about slicing with Cura and glad you've added Bambu to your repetoire.
I'm still going through your guides but I was wondering if there is a way to change the enter diameter of a item without changing any of the other measurements, i.e. making a cylinder wall thinner or thicker. I a newbie with the Bambu printer, only two weeks old but haven't had time to tinker.
Great informative video👍 Debating if i should get into resin printing. Not so much into models and stuff like that but looking for better visual quality functional parts like for example potentiometer knobs and such. Just not sure if its worth it for occasional use.
Ok so I finally did it, I stop researching and I picked one. The Bambu Lab A1 mini. It was a small home based business decision, after buying it I found your video's. I have spent an entire day napping on and off listening to others video's. Thank you for creating a video with feeling in your voice and that doesn't put me to sleep. Not to mention, I'm that need to learn everything I can and be able to do it all and adjust everything personally. I will be creating my own items, this isn't a buy and just print what others have created tool. This is for me to bring what's in my head to life. Again thank you! I look forward to watching more. But for now, I need to go learn my program inside and out.
Your videos have been super helpful! I’m running into a problem I’m wondering if your videos go over? I’m trying to create hollow space through a handle to a base of a sword but when I cut the STL file the hole doesn’t go throughout the whole object.
I'm pretty sure that is only determined by the support interface settings. I had terrible bottom layers under supports, but I followed Chris's interface settings video and it's much better now.
You don't need glue. I never used it with this printer, at least for PLA. Just set plate temperature to 65 degrees as the first layer, it sticks well just by itself. Also, it is now fully integrated with Orca slicer and has all profiles predefined, including features Wifi and Camera... You can print a side attachment to mount filament at side of the printer. Nozzle clogged once, easy to unclog, just follow on screen instructions. Thumbnails images now got better resolution. Excellent printer, that gets better and better each update! Print quality is remarkable, sometimes surface seem so smooth, even for highly complex models, as it was injection molding. Very satisfied!
This will fail with more complex shapes. Imagine two pegs separated by a flat section. Global scaling means the two pegs won't line up with the two holes. Better to do tolerancing in the model, scaling is for matching the printout to modeled dimensions.
Thank you for documenting this. I'm interested in making sure dowel holes in my print are as symmetrical as they can be. According to your explanation, I think using normal supports should do the trick. The holes are being printed horizontally, so the upper half of the holes form a symmetrical arch. I think the normal support may handle the job better than a tree support. I've already tried a tree support and the dowel hole, while still very functional, came out a tad horizontally oblong. I think that is because of gravity pulling down on the filament as it cooled. With normal supports, hopefully there will be enough support to hold the arch up so that it cools in a more perfect circle shape.
Yeah apple barrel is a good choice. Only issue ive had for BRUSH painting, they are very inconsistent with eachother. Also how much coverage the paint has between diffeeent colors is huge. Now imagine figuring those ratios for airbrushing. Kinda intimidating lol
Your videos have been of great help to me the last couple weeks, thank you!!! Do you have or know of a video to help with changing text of a file I’ve downloaded from maker world?
If it's a downloaded part, and to keep the part dimensions as the creator intended, a bit of sandpapering the insert would suffice. This way you don't have to reprint it again and the part may HAVE to stay the same dimension if, for example, it needs to match up with another object in the overall scheme.
The problem I am finding is that when I find a design and I want to take out the supports they designed into it I cant do that. For instance there is a baby yoda I wanted to print. I did one in a solid color and about half the print was supports.
Orthogonal: of or involving right angles; at right angles. Orthography: the art of writing words with the proper letters according to standard usage. Good tutorial though, but 8 ads on a 33 minute video, really?
I recently got an anycubic kobra 2 neo as my first ever printer and it prints out of the box with their settings on their slicer. Followed their suggested inputs for cura and am having trouble even getting bed adhesion. I suppose I need to make all their values closer? They default settings and temps they suggest aren’t the same for both slicers 😅 I need help lmao
I started printing with my p1s right out of the box but started having questions and decided to search for tutorials. Yours is the first I've watched and found it to be hugely helpful. I'm even more excited now, feeling better equipped to use the machine! Now on to your other videos haha!
Dude! leave the freakin' cursor in one place! Put it on your subject and leave it there until you neede to move it the next item! Im somewhere between a siezure and vomiting and that sucks because I like what you're doing!
