This channel is about general automotive maintenance and basic up grades. Most procedures require basic hand tools. You can save money by doing your own repairs. Just remember, if you make a mistake, you can always pay someone to fix it.
Thanks for the video, it really helped me out. The key was for a 2005 Rav 4, but apparently had been replaced at some point. So I search for "folding key fob battery replacement" and went through videos until I found yours, which was very similar. For the battery, those three points around it are retaining clips. I found just using a small screw driver to push one away, then come up underneath worked to get it out.
The lower portion of the bumper covers the trans cooler line. I guess you "might" be able to bend the lower portion of the of the bumper. Personally, I do not like to bend anything.
Well done video buddy, glad you shown included first step of doing brakes is opening the Master cylinder cap letting it lay ontop of the master cylinder reservoir, i seen lot videos out here on other channels they never mention or show doing this whichbis very important doing this, thanks for the posting👍
EXCELLENT video! Fairly easy enough and inexpensive to do. All the other videos involved the car being hoisted in the air. So, $90 for the links, and a few thousand to install a hoist system in my garage. LOL. Another safety tip I saw years ago, when you take the wheels off, prop them up under the raised car for extra safety incase the jack fails.
i’m putting a new bumper on the front of my 06 highlander but i don’t have the original bolts, which ones do i get? this is my first time trying to work on a car lol 💀
You should just go to a junkyard and find a similar highlander and pull the bolts you need. That way you’ll know for sure they are the right fit. Buying them brand new is surprisingly expensive. My highlander was missing all the bottom bolts and the side clips. I got them from a junkyard.
Thanks for this. I wish I had seen this before taking my 2015 Passat TDI to the dealer for a $1300 brake job. One question if I may, When I look at the front pads they do not look like that are touching the rotor closest to the axel. Is this normal? Are the pads wedged shaped to begin with?
Both inner and outer pads don't really touch the rotor. It is supposed to slide a little. The pads will squeeze together when you step on the brake. Hope that answer your question.
A Toyota technician told me not to remove the bottom cover he said prodding around with those plastic drain tubes could damage the pressure relief valve.
Thanks for the walk through. One RU-vid mechanic yanked the entire filter housing off without draining the oil filter housing first. It created quite a mess. Glad you showed us how to remove the filter the way the Toyota engineers intended.
My left side tail light isnt working but only on the bottom part. The top light and blinker are working fine. I changed the bulb in the bottom and checked the reverse socket. I pushed up the metal prongs a bit to make sure it wasnt missing a connection. Not sure where to go from here.
