I just stumbled across this video. I too have that Clouds module with Parasites and had thought about selling it. I just put it back into my case a couple of weeks ago to try to give it another run. Great timing to find this!
I started my first case with a bunch of MI modules back around March 2021, and loved them, so I kept building up a collection of MI. I was lucky enough to get most of what I wanted before they closed with the exceptions of Branches, Peaks, and Clouds. Well, just managed to get a seller in the local forum to agree to hold a genuine MI Clouds (ie, not a clone) for me until next week. I sent them a picture of my MI case and assured them I would stick to the deal, and they agreed. So, I will finally have Clouds by the 1st week of May 2024. I have Beads too, but when I saw Clouds come up, I didn't sit on my hands about it. Really looking forward to racking it and checking out Parasites firmware.
got to say i got a clone that i really prefer cause it got faders which makes it much easier for me to find sweetspots. also there is more knob per function in some of the clones. some functions (i think it was feedback/reverb/stereo) are mixed to one knob on the og.
Do you know if there is a firmware revision history for the push 3? This sill help those of us interested , in putting version issues alongside when the video was made. Thanks!
Is house called lofi now? This was nice, might need to install parasites :) But apparently there is a not insignificant risk of bricking the module, which scares me…
I agree with @hissquiet. I love the idea of incorporating Eurorack with Ableton. I don't even have everything I need to do this yet. But I have a history of getting a bit lost with software sequencers and multi-trackers. So, more videos showing how people incorporate the two would be great! I know other Eurorack RU-vidrs are using Ableton for recording, etc. But not many are showing that part of their workflow.
I've been trough a similar journey full of contradictions. I was really close to sell all my eurorack but what I'm doing now is to record a lot of stuff on my own in the eurorack, and then mix it, rearrange, add, substract it all later in Ableton.
You should do an update video on your opinions. Between the non dc coupled outputs, a fricken i3 cpu, not being able to connect to audio interface except adat pres, no arrangement mode, battery life next to none, and now a sale of $300 off i take it that they are not selling well. I have a deluge and wont be switching over until major changes are made and i dont need another controller. An update would be awesome if you can would be rad.
