Thanks for the video. Helped me a lot with the conversion of my R9T racer. These small screws on the switches, then one hidden. I would never have found it. Thank you!
I have sold this bike now and got a 2021 model. With this one, i only replaced the exhaust and kept the headers (didn't delete the cat converter). It was loud but bearable In my new bike, i have a straight pipe with no mufflers, it's not bearable on long rides. So im trying to find a solution
Thanks for video. Like the black effect on cylinders and pipes. Forgive possibly dumb question, but does reducing the visible rings at the top make the front end of the bike taller?
@Ahmad Sammani great detailed video's. I watched your video on how to remove the front forks, which I did... where is the video for how to put them back on? Hahaha
@@ahmadsammani2704 haha I got a good laugh out of that. I guess, only question is, what is the measurement/distance from the top of the fork to the top of the yoke?
Just did this today. For the clutch side caliper, that extra piece is the wheel speed sensor. Should be able to get away removing a single bolt from the outside.
Good tutorial. To those with rusted bolts, you guys can start the engine up to heat up the exhaust. After a few minutes turn off the engine and tap the bolts. Should help loosen them bolts.
The forks are the trickiest part You will need to disassemble the gold tubes, anodise them, the assemble them again. It's gonna be a very messy job if you're not familiar with forks rebuild. I opted for wrapping them, but you'll need to do it with the forks are installed in the triple tree clamp, otherwise, the wrap will get scratched when putting the forks back into the clamp Option 3, buy black forks, but they cost a fortune!
@@ahmadsammani2704 I already installed clip ons and it's really not that bad, 2 hour trips are no problem, although I don't have any back pain just my wrists start to hurt a bit
Is it true that when you switch clip ons, the turning radius of your bike is limited since the clip ons would hit the gas tank when you turn to the extreme left/right direction?
Hey Ahmad. Your bike looks SICK. Congrats mate. I'm thinking about doing some blacking out on mine, would you recommend where you got your powder coating and anodising done? (and if so where did you get it done?) How long did it take? Cheers! Sam
Thanks mate. Sick is what i was going for lol I've done my powder coating at hi octane g.co/kgs/oZGafm I dont recommend the ceramic coating for the headers as it fades with time It was pretty reasonable in terms of price: $350 If you wanna do your headers i recommend getting custom titanium headers from JC R9T (look them up on Facebook) which what i will be doing when i get the 2021 model Sadly i sold the bike a month ago
How high were the risers or what height did you set them at? Also how does it affect your riding position (ergonomics) do you recommend this set up for commuting (60 miles one way)?
60 miles is a bit too long for this riding position. After 20 miles u'll start feeling back pain. My commute was about 10 miles so it was fine Height wise, I've put them pretty low, u can adjust the height up to 5mm lower than the standard handle bars height
Not really. The only difference is the crazy loud sound! I'd probably go deaf in a couple of years, but damn, that sound is pure sex to my ears! I do understand, however, that some riders find it annoying after a while. So yeah, get this exhaust at your own discretion. It WILL wake up ur neighbours and you WILL get a shoe or 2 thrown at ya 😂
The ceramic coating on your exhaust looks faded or it’s just dirt? How the power coating durability on your cylinder cover - Still looks good? Cuz I’m debating between power coating vs Rizoma covers.
Give yourself some credit, Ahmad! You called yourself an amateur, but you're doing a great job with the bike! Doubt an amateur would be doing as much as you! Hope to see more along the way!
Thanks Wesley! Much appreciated 😊 It's been a while since i started with the mods, and now it's almost at the finish line.. Check out the rest if the videos ;)
Rhanks mate! It's actually a good balance between aggressive and laid-back ride. I can ride for up to 90 minutes without discomfort Wouldn't recommend them for long rides
Josh, no adaptor required. I used the OEM mushroom bar ends to lock in the mirrors. The locking is achieved by the push action from the mushrooms + the tightening of the mirrors screws. It gets a bit tricky with the throttle bar, because if u tighten too much, the throttle will lock. You just have to find the sweet spot were the mirrors are tight and the throttle is free to move back and forth

Good set of videos, mate. Very useful as I pick up my bike tomorrow and want to do some of this stuff myself. I know you will have thought of this but you really need to get that swingarm powder coated in black.
