This channel is about using Openpilot as an advance customizable lane centering agent. And the viability of the dev kit C3 being dash mounted unofficially.
Do not treat Openpilot as a self driving agent. Ever.
its a C3 dashmounted. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-t_SEYKGcGIA.htmlsi=N2VUbsGQFj8K_6nd I just put rubber base to make it look square , i dont like the DM camera sticking out like a sore thumb.
my accord is at the bottom of the totem pole here are the cars comma highly recommend comma.ai/vehicles the openpilot community top advice is to pick the car you love then go from there ie do your homework e.g if its supported or not etc
url install of my fork installer.comma.ai/eyezenheim3/secretgoodopenpilot this is optimized for Hondas for "Hands on" driving esp. at very high speed. huggy left curve 02:27 hold the wheel technique 04:33 left curve 07:39 im so happy with this one 09:23
It avoids the curb bigtime on either sides when no lead car/cars around. (FOV) URL install installer.comma.ai/eyezenheim3/secretgoodopenpilot smiskol.com/fork/eyezenheim3/secretgoodopenpilot
after initial calibration you will most likely get a paramsd error when you try to engage for the first time. all you have to do is reboot the device and it should go away.
Openpilot Experience is still supervised driving. It is safe since you have time to control the car if anything happens. That said the faster you go the less time you have hence the hands on the wheel ready to take over. Hands free vs Hands on is just a perception , whatever rocks your boat is fine. Bottom line is to get the BEST driving experience. Observe the my thumb 02:38 discord.com/channels/469524606043160576/616456819027607567/1252262442294050887
Accord peeps don't let this branch slip away :) this branch is a gift that keeps on giving (lateral) Made a fork , 23 sR on all Hondas . The high locked steerRatio makes the drive feel more planted from floaty ( default) and it makes your steering more responsive hence the great curves ( gas play a must) . calibrating 0:00 paramsd error 02:08 just reboot it to go away 02:15 locationd error 04:02 bay bridge lower deck 06:52 vs regressed ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mylrgzf50nE.htmlsi=7Isocyqtw0eaB04y&t=896
the feeling is floaty rather than planted, so i rather have my left hand on the wheel to boost my confidence (planted drive makes me more confident with hands free driving) hands free in the video is just for drama, i drive with my left hand on the wheel 2 hands on curves.
hugs opposite side of the curb 02:28 10:32 Bay bridge hugs 15:08 16:22 Recalibrating via steering input 16:42 results 17:14 you can do do manual calibration reset per drive to prevent regression. discord.com/channels/469524606043160576/616456819027607567/1251614325924302980
Good enough for daily driving but strictly YMMV. This model is purely trained on ML simulation using driveGPT. Sorry I only test lateral (steering) have no idea how experimental long (braking and gas) works, i use my stock Honda Sensing ACC. 45 mph curve 04:24 to keep up with traffic nudge is needed See my different reactions between 2 messages ( red and orange) hit bump , locationd error 11:06 takes a few seconds to re-engage [orange message] accidentally nudge shifter 06:48 [red message] right hug 26:06 URL install installer.comma.ai/commaai/secretgoodopenpilot SSH cd /data && rm -rf openpilot && git clone --single-branch github.com/commaai/openpilot.git openpilot -b secretgoodopenpilot && cd openpilot && git submodule update --init && sudo systemctl restart comma
I'll be testing legacy model Farmville the GOAT imho blog.comma.ai/095release/ while waiting for comma to polish the upcoming models using a new training method. smiskol.com/fork/eyezenheim3/dev-c3-FV Laneless mode Camera offset of 8 and path of 4 2:1 ratio. This setting centers my car , so you need to tweak it if its not centered on yours. Centered driving seems to give me the best curves. ymmv BTW Navigation on Openpilot (NoO) is not deprecated in this version compared to the latest version.
[Stock OP] use the branch switcher ==>>> secretgoodopenpilot this is just an initial test, a lot can happen. so i reserved my judgement until after a few more drives. I dont test long btw my channel is primarily lateral testing on a dashmount config. Remember c3x needs to be at least 1 meter off ground.
yeah its good enough, see my sidemount playlist. btw i went back to dashmount mainly for vanity reason i like the looks of it vs sidemount. still gives me a good view of the road.
Bro I just bought it, it's arriving tomorrow bro quick question does your honda accord stop at red lights and stop sign? I'm a uber driver I want to put it to the test
Nice! you have to enable EXPERIMENTAL mode to do that, which uses the C3X camera not the radar. its not ready for primetime. I advice you to join the community at discord.comma.ai
