Join me on my journey to make cars less practical to drive daily. I'm just a guy who has no idea what I'm doing but I've learnt from scratch through family, forums, videos and makes regular mistakes like everybody else!
I'm currently modifying a MK5 Golf GTI and love German cars but I've owned and modified Vauxhalls, Audi's, Peugeots and more!
Hopefully you guys will enjoy the content and relate to the struggles of driveway modifications.
Hi mate I'm just about to tackle this job on my 2008 GTI but when buying the part there are 2 options, 30mm and 32mm inner diameter. What did you go for?
Bedankt voor de video 🦾🤙🖐️🦾🦾🦾✔️✅🤛, al dat werk voor niks maar ja, had ook wat water in de kofferbak, morgen eerst die seal'' maar eens nakijken (golf 4.,)
I can’t really tell if my car is leaking or not , it does have pick up but only sometimes but idk if it’s my driving or the car , and there’s no leak sound but the intake does hiss when acceleration below 2k rpm sometimes , can anyone help or recommend . Many thanks
For me the biggest giveaway was there was no big surge when on boost. It didn’t throw you back in your seat. After changing the DV I noticed it instantly, boosted way harder and healthier
@@overrungarage it turns out I acc had no leak at all , I still changed the DV tho but for some reason I hear less from my intake now but the power feels amazing and quite frankly speaking I would pick power over the flutters , the intake still flutters slightly not as much as with the revision G for me . But the car flys , thank you for the amazing content
I know this is a bit late and many months ago but if you're wheel bearings are in good condition you can just change the ring that corrodes. Just done my Edition 30 in this way. They're about £7 and simple to fix, plus a new sensor, I used OEM Bosch on mine. Anyway, liking the content, keep up the good work.
Hi, I have MK5 GTI 2.0 TFSI manaul and I want to upgrade to stage 2. Do I need to change anything else besides downpipe exhaust, air intake system and intercooler? Thanks for answers!
You need at least a 2.75” exhaust from the turbo back, weather that is a combo of a decat downpipe into a cat-back exhaust or sports cat etc is up to you, other than that you are correct. Stage 2+ includes VIS hpfp internals 🙂
@@overrungarage milltek exhaust? I got same engine in my Leon. I got 3” decat, oversized ram air and booked in for custom cat back soon. Got a 250hp map on atm but think I could maybe go stage 2 with them mods?
@@samb394 yep 2.75 milltek. You could deffo go stage 2 with those mods, should see 270 with 99 Ron fuel. You then become limited by the hpfp, VIS internals are the next step 👍
Stumbled upon this video randomly. In my opinion I would never tune a car on anything else than 99/100 RON fuel. My ex mk6 GTI was running with 100 octane always, even without a tune. Made 280hp stage 2 on 100 RON. My current Cupra 280 is always filled up with 100 RON and still on stock map. You're literally throwing away massive performance gains and reliability in the long run. The difference in gas price is worth it without a doubt. Cheers, and keep it up!
