Max Dendy | Tech Videos | Console gaming Hi, friends! My name is Max and I've always been interested in tech and wanted to share my experience with products that I use. I aspire to make the content that would be helpful and enjoyable to watch.
You should play all those games on 15w like the Steamdeck OLED, because you can't get the same performance on the Rog ally or Legion go because they require 25w or 30w and that kills the battery. The Steamdeck OLED can get pretty darn close, I would rather have the OLED screen, better battery life and 5 or 10 less FPS than more FPS on the other devices which is around 5-15 FPS..Steamdeck OLED is truly the best device around, because most people have gaming laptops and PC's, so the Steamdeck makes perfect sense...$549 for the Steamdeck OLED vs $699 for the rog ally or $799 for the rog ally x...Steamdeck killer, yeah right, nothing is better than the Steamdeck OLED
Yeah that’s what I mean. What is the point of using 15 or lower watts if the Steam deck gives you a better performance on low wattage + ease of use and better customization
Battery may suck, but overall the Z1 Extreme device packs a punch for what it is. It plays AAA games with ease, packed with AMD and Windows support and the look, feel and weight seems ideal to me (altho this maybe user specific). Its not a perfect device but overall its 9/10 for me. In terms of the SD card, i never had any issues with this personally. But if you do, there are plenty or Reddit posts that can fix the issue. I personally got my Rog for £330 (with a years warranty), so for the price its an excellent pickup.
My friend, the video is very explanatory, very enjoyable to watch and very satisfying in terms of information. Thank you and I wish you continued success.
Love this in depth review really good! One thing i don't understand when you said the rog ally is faster than the steam deck but then you said its better to get the he steam deck since they have the same performance?
Can you point out the exact time code? Yes, Rog Ally is faster. And if I recommend the Steam deck over Ally it is not because they perform the same, but because of the other reasons.
@@MaxDendyat 1:13 you said the rog ally performs better in frames than the steam deck but then at 6:20 you said that the z1 chip is slower than the steam deck. My guess is that you tested rog ally z1 extreme at 1:13?. Was just a little confused since I want to buy the rog ally z1 since it's on sale.
so what? still use an external SSD for much lower Price and just play normal Xbox games on it. Saves you a lot of space anyways and you have good games on it that can be played in 2030 if you want and they wont look bad
1:11 but be warnd. Most HDDS are very slow and not ment to play games from it so its realy best option for saving games and transfer it when you need it but that osts a lot of time so yo actualy can download it every time again and you would be faster in many times
The masses want a steam deck 2 that they can connect a quest headset to, and be able to download VR games to play off of it. SDVR. Thats what the masses want… It would make VR even more portable.
Thanks for this great video! Would you make another video to compare Emu frontend tools? I see the new version of EmuDeck added Pegasus. I use it on my PC and it runs very well, but on SteamOS, I can barely find how to add a BIOS or a game...
Its unbelievable how well Steam Deck runs games on limited power. It can run many PS4 era triple A games at 40 or 45 fps when paired with an 80 hrtz or 90 hrzt refresh rate to get 2:1 smooth playing experience. Especially for games that are able to generate frames through FSR or DLSS. Its a dream device. I disagree with Reviewer, the OLED is by far the better devices, not only for the screen but the other upgrades.
People should stop calling these handheld PC's consoles. They're handheld PC's. They run PC hardware and PC software. They're also completely open and allow you to do whatever you want with them. While it emulates a console experience it is still very different in that it gives you total freedom.
I’ve gone down gaming laptop and cloud gaming. I want some thing affordable in 2024. Switch lite is looking like it’s for me. Since I grow up with a DS. Plus I cherish physical games. SD and ROG just ain’t it for me
Listen man. You can get an rog Ally right now for like $350 at Best Buy. I would recommend that over anything even with its flaws. It's still better than spending $800 on an rog x when we all know the Ally 2 is coming next year
For that price, agree. I like my Ally. I’m ready to take that risk and deal with the SD card reader, but not everybody. How can you recommend a faulty product to someone? Like hey man that’s now cheap, some parts will broke and it will be hard to return, but buy it, that’s a good device.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend either of them unless you know what you're getting into and understand PC gaming. If we have that consensus and agreement then I would say buy the cheaper alternative and wait for the newest product next year. Buying the rog Ally X would be like buying the PS5 pro on its last year of life. It's completely pointless unless you have the money to spend. If that's the case then go for it. But let's be real here. We're all a bunch of gamers that probably are on a budget and I think alternatively going for the cheap route to grab a decent product and roll the dice on if it's going to be working completely. And I'm just talking about the SD card here. Then save your money and have the same experience.
And by the way, I bought the rog Ally a couple months ago for under 500 bucks brand new and have had nothing but a great experience with it and no mechanical issues. But I can't emphasize enough. Do your research and know what you're getting into before buying this product. The Lenovo legion Go is an amazing device. I've had it but returned it due to the poor driver optimization for games. So to me there is no perfect alternative. Personally, I believe that if you are truly looking for the best experience, you should be buying a steam deck and this is coming from somebody who doesn't own one anymore.
I love my ally sold my steam deck. Steam deck is only good for old games. Really struggles to get even 30fps in many games. Been using ally for over a year now I’m lucky or whatever but haven’t got any problems with it. Quick resume works never had a crash. I love playing ps3 gashed on it which steam deck can’t. Not saying steam deck is bad but steam is means no call of duty and FIFA.
Does anyone think that there will be a steam deck 2 in a 2 to 3 years? Will there be better battery life for the steam deck 2 or stay the same battery life as the steam deck oled? Please comment your answers 😊😊😊
Is the difference really not that significant between LCD and OLED? I remember seeing the difference between the switches. For example, what's more worth it between a 512GB LCD at 350$C or OLED 512 AT 500$C?
It’s not as noticeable as with the switch. I could not use LCD when I got the OLED. But with the Steam they are both fine. LCD Steam screen is much better than the LCD switch screen
