I don’t think Muslim countries need to be westernized, but no one should be treated as second class citizens or seen as property. Women should have equal access to resources and opportunities (if a woman can pass all the test to be a police then she should be one).
salaam liyana - i’m so glad i finally found a muslim covering the childfree topic. i always wanted kids and loved helping out with my nephews right from when they were babies & toddlers to now that they are boys. i started feeling ambivalent about becoming a mother purely for financial reasons. we’ve been married 4 months & i can’t speak about it openly cause it is taboo in my culture and they’ll probably start praying for me and think i am possessed astagfirullah 😂 i am not where i hoped to be in terms of my career and my husband is not financially stable. if my husband was doing well i would definitely change my mind. he is a teacher has no savings nor do we own a home/mortage etc i prayed so hard since 21 for a financially stable man cause financial safety is critical for me (i lost my dad as a kid) i even delayed marriage till 33 so it breaks my heart my most important dua did not come true.
Have faith that your situation can change. It may not be how you want right now but down the line Allah only knows what's in store. I also lost my dad early and money was always an issue growing up and within our marriage. We've been renting and still are. We even had to live apart and go and live with our family. 12 years later only now are we starting to feel more financially stable 🤲🏻 inshaAllah. My husband has tried running several business, several jobs.. nothing took off or worked out. InshaAllah with patience and faith something fruitful will come of it all. I think you can share your concerns with your husband, you don't need to go straight in with "I don't want kids" especially as it's down to one thing and something that fluctuates (money) but rather share your concern about how will you manage if a child was brought into the equation. Also remember duaas may not be answered in the way we as humans can see. It also may be answered at a later time.
my english is bad but the first clip of the house with Noha standing in the middle was 100% you guys ,it looks like you already lived there (with a little bit of adjustment) and the garden just need a water fountain and some vintage garden set .also it will be great to creat diffrent aesthic in each room

I'm with you Liyana, I hate man buns, what do they think they look like, as an older woman they remind me of my granny, if my husband had a man bun I'd cut it off in the night while he was asleep, I really don't like the whole hipster look, they look so self centered, this vlog was a laugh, and I agree with all of your icks, xxx
@@liyanalife I’ve got a cat he’s got an owner but would rather be in my house lol so I didn’t know a lot about cats and I saw some toys in home bargains and it said with catnip on the box, this cat sleeps most of the day and from teatime onwards he’s out and about
Yeh sometimes even when it says it has catnip it doesn't really or its crappy and doesn't do anything so I have to buy my own power and dunk the toys in the packet of catnip , shake it off and then give it to the cats. That's funny, it's not your cat but he visits 🤭
Liyana those fireplaces are absolutely divine, please dont even think to take them out ( i know you haven't moved in but in my head you are there ) so much character every room was special and what a great project for the basement. I can see you both there and 🐈🐈 imagine the family get togethers in that garden , just lovely. I have never known cats as loved and spoilt as yours you did NOT let them down on their birthday ! You treat them as if it is their birthday every day😂 Wow the food looked amazing , i could just eat a chicken biriani now and it is early morning. That huge cake for £2. I am on such a tight budget ( dont worry i am ok and not in debt or anything) but it is so hard out there these days , but you know what i love budgeting so i must get myself to Heron foods , oh actually i dont know if there is one here , i'll check. Oh the nature walks look lovely , you can just think in peace if you know what i mean. Don't worry i agree with the fireplaces. They do take up functional wall space but they look so lovely! Plus we couldn't use them though because of 🐈🐈⬛ Haha thank you! It is true lol regarding the cats 🐾 cats become what you make them. Those who don't spend much time with them cats just seem like "cats" but if you spend time with them etc they have so much personality I'm glad you enjoyed the lights and video thank you! It's good to budget! And glad you aren't in debt. I've never used a credit card thankfully, I remember my friends in uni shopping with them. I hate owing money. Thankfully I don't think I need much in life and don't shop like standard girls do 🤣 Much love xox
Sister you know I love lights especially at Christmas here in the states, and what you've shown. So those lights at night were the coolest thing thank you for sharing. Also I know your sister-in-law is Pakistani so my question is what do you put in your samosas because I absolutely adored my girlfriends and I miss them a lot. Blessings and much love

I'm so used to them now that just wearing it at night seems not much to ask! I'm on tray 7 out of 19! I so hope I finish at 19 and don't need another round. Still need time to actually get round to the driving stuff. I feel like driving isn't my cup of tea lol 😵💫 but that might be from the outside looking in, it just seems so stressful and chaotic 😅 once I start I may actually enjoy it lol. Rocking Satan 😂 so true Noah they listen to all that and have views on other things ( cannot spell the word ) Liyana oh my word bin juice i think we all have that though no matter how strong the bag is. Years ago i was arguing with my friend and i started shouting, my nan said to me if you start shouting in an argument you have already lost, those words have always remained with me, i have always tried to compose myself since, strange how some advice stays with you , i was only about ten at the time. Plus while they are shouting and you are quiet they get more frustrated and as my nan said they have already lost 😊 Men and chores 😂 they try their best i think it is because women can multi task better, oh and on this subject why is it ( some ) men need to be thanked, as in we just do it , they say ive done the bin , dishes , garden , etc etc . We just do it , they want a 🏅 Anyway have a lovely weekend both of you, its sunny here which makes a change, washing is out drying nicely, oh thats another ick why do some people use one peg for each item of clothing😮 My friend throws it on the line and puts one peg on each 🤦🏻♀️ she is so good at everything else i have never understood it , it drives me mad, she say's well its coming in to be steamed so it doesn't matter! 😅 Bye for now xx❤

It's such an important quality and one I value and need so much more in my life 100% about men and housework, it's like well aren't you living here too?? One peg :o dont think I've ever seen that! I appreciate you so much. I'm childfree and I reverted on April 6th this year. I hope to meet other Muslims in my community who I can speak with openly about being childfree and be understood and accepted. The stigma against childfree women is beyond hurtful.
I agree. It is hard. Even making this video I've had so many rude and awful comments from both men and women (men mainly 🙄) welcome to Islam 💛 focus on you and God and try not to let "the people " get in the way of that - as hard as it can be. I hope all works out for you ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for this video, it's very refreshing. You two are so charming. I've known since age 9 that being childfree is the best way for me. I'm almost 37 now. Additionally I've become increasingly interested in Islam and am considering reverting. It helps knowing I wouldn't be alone as a childfree woman if or when I revert. The day I spoke my Shahada was a day filled with an ocean of positive emotions, including me shedding happy tears. Out of curiosity are you part of a network or group of cf Muslims? I think a type of self-advocacy group would be awesome.

I knew of a woman that got sectioned after having a baby having a child is quite life fretting woman die giving birth lots of things can happen there are some parents who shouldn't have children i have 5 all adults now i was lucky but one of my granddaughters has Cystitis fibrosis because her mum and dad ( my son) had the same chromosomes so his partner now he paid for her to have test to make sure everything was okay thank you for sharing love all your videos 🤗🫶🙏🏴
It was fun to get to "know" you a bit better. I do have to say that if I'm ever in your neck of the woods on a future trip, and I happen to see you, I will most certainly come up and say hello!! You have been warned! 🤣 I'll add that I was never good at languages (I have trouble with English on some days, lol!) I *just* barely passed college Spanish and I only remember a few of the German phrases my grandmother taught me. You said you were interested in Chinese. My daughter just earned her bachelor's degree last spring with a major in Chinese studies/Chinese language. She actually speaks Mandarin, which amazes me. I'm trying to learn some very rudimentary words/phrases as we plan to someday travel to China together. Given my history, I may have to completely depend upon her, though...
