You know it’s funny it was removed, but that was the original commercial when the Duramax diesel for General Motors was brand new. They said a glass of water in a cup of coffee on the hood and you could not see a ripple.
That's cool, I wonder if I did that with my car if it would do the same. My car is a Lexus is200 which has an online 6 cyl 2.0L engine. Super sooth as you'd expect from a 6.
Gotta say, I've loved having the pinlock in my Airoh Commender visor. I never had it until I trashed my helmet on Coolah Tops and had to buy a replacement. Yeah sometimes my glasses fog up inside, but usually briefly - but putting the anti-fog on them seems a great idea for next time I'm yp the high country on a frosty morning :)
Yeah pinlock are really good. Just hard to justify the price for a replacement one that fits the shark Evo one. If the helmet didn't rub the pinlock when it opens and closes then it probably still would keep it in the helmet, but this somar one works just as well and doesn't rub. It's good to know there are great alternatives out there.
It's got a switched to ignition 12v output under the seat ready to insert your own connector into. And another 12v output in the front end. Also a USB c and USB a port under the screen.
I think that replacing the stock tires by some pirelli scorpion rally would be a good choice! Also lowering the pressure to around 1,7 bar will help on mud.
Hey mate, greetings. Love your route on this video. Were you on stock tyre on this trip? If you're, would you recommend switching into new tyre or would it still be sufficient to ride on the stock tyre for a while? Thanks mate.
@@outie555 ah.. ok, thanks for replying. I'm getting mine soon, thinking about the tyre because I'll be going in and out from the highway and offroad so if it's fine, I'll just use the stock tyre.
Yeah I find it fine on both road and offroad. Is this your first off-road bike? If so, then the stock tyres will be fine for you as it's my first off-road bike and they have been fine. When they wear out I'll replace them with something that has more dirt and mud grip, but I'm in no rush.
@@outie555 be careful of your lower back brother. You did one thing right. I see many, new and old riders do. Run to pick their bike up after they drop it. It's not going anywhere and it's not gonna get damaged further no matter how long you leave it there for. Make sure you're ok and make sure you won't injure yourself by running to lift the bike back up. Keep up the good work. Consider some professional training, both road and off-road. It will transform your experience, confidence and enjoyment.
@@lefterisbampaidis5446 yes I was very mindful that the bike was not going anywhere and although my first instinct was to pick it up I did pause and just take it in slow time as you're totally right with what you've said.
Thanks for that - win some lose some, where vision is concerned I won't take any chances - if it fogs up, it's not worth it imo. BTW, tip: consider putting two strips of black electrical tape on the very top of the visor to block out the sun - works really well, been doing it for years and really helps those days where you ride into the sun on late afternoons.
I have 650 GV 2013 and after standing in rain, one cylinder does not fire for few minutes ( 4-5 minutes) before warming up. It runs normal after 5 minutes. What do you thing should I check?
Sounds like the spark plugs earthing out when wet so it's not zapping the plug. Check the leads on both ends by unplugging them and checking for corrosion. Could also be the water is getting into the regulator rectifier and shorting it so the voltage output is less and only enough to spark one cylinder. Check it's plugs too.
Suzuki sv650 and our gv650s have the same rubber caps over the spark plugs. They are a known fault on the Suzuki's. I'd check some Suzuki pages for an idea on a long term fix. But short term, simply replacing them from the wire down will fix it, checking for any corrosion.
brave with shitty tires !! take care to fold your mirrors inside; if you go upper bars it can break your arms;;; have fun :) find small place, practice static balance and full lock eight turns ! no need to ride and ride first; just a garden and LOTS of balance and super slow controls . you will be amazed how fast you will progress
Good alternative, cheap enough to try. I have terrible trouble fogging up, I had pin lock but then glasses fog. Today I bought anti fog from the bike shop and it seemed to work well. Cheers
Thanks again for your information. You seem to be doing stuff that I am thinking of or trying to do. I ordered a Pinlock for my O'Neal adv helmet, but can't find anywhere that sells the actual pins to install for it ! The new helmet I bought recently ( LS2 Pioneer ) has the pinlock pins pre-installed. The shop didn't have any pinlock visors in stock so I didn't get one at the time. I will definitely be looking at these and getting a few. Cheers.
Great video, Id probably support and lift the bike on a jack under the bottom bash plate. This will give you the adjustment you need to line the bolt hole easily plus remove the weight off the rear suspension. Supporting from above isn't so easy to make the bike stable.
So the guy starts to pull out and sees you and stops and you throw a hissy fit like a 4-year old girl. There's something wrong with you. You need to up the meds or something.
That's probably better than the version I got. Mine has a green tinge to it. I got mine from an Instagram add over a year ago now. It still works but not as good as it did when new.
So glad I got these even though my pads were still all there - today I removed the seat and one of the pads was gone. Should have taken it out proactively haha. Installed your pad upgrade without issue, they work perfectly!
Always gonna happen mate, and will again for sure! Sand sucks, on bends the loose, deep stuff is always on the outside of the bend, so right handers are a challenge, as you're always staying left - cautious about someone coming the other way. All good mate, nice to see you having fun!
Hey Mate you may need some protection (crash bars) on the bike 😎. Luckily it was a soft landing both times. Good thing there was no damage to the bike or to you.
Practice makes perfect. Or at least better. I have ridden off road, mostly on sand, as that is all we had. Good for soft falls and taught me to keep the gas on. Took my foot peg rubber inserts out the day I got the bike. They won't be going back in.
Sand is really hard to ride unless you have tons of exp w it! Mine should be in any day now and I want my phone wear you have it. What diud you do that with?
Looks like a nice place to ride, at least it is dry. We are having an Artic blast at the moment here in Victoria. I love the way this bike can just putt along on slow trails. I started making videos when my boys were very young on their first bikes for memories and being a gen X i want grandkids to see how good we had life before the tech age. Cheers mate.
