I think this bit of comedy is Lucy’s best. Even better than vitameatvegimin imo. The fact that she can be funny without being insulting of another nations culture is a testament to her genius as a comedian.
Off the subject. I want to make a comment on another channel. It was a fight between twins wearing whie and yellow checked sleep wear. They were about 1-2" years old. One baby was on the other who was on the floor crying terribly because the one on the top was aggtessive ( very) . The boy on the top was bitting him or some kind of aggtession. The title of the video was called "love fight". It was a terrible thing to watch. I felt so sad for the baby betten up by his brother. It was not at amusing. How could these parents condone such brutal activity beteeen siblings. Tell the bully to wait until the brother will get older then lookout. This was poor taste to show people. Isn't there enough violence in the world?
Unfortunately, I find it to be no coincidence that the move to the country would occur with country boy Elvis Presley's rise in prominence. I have struggled to find references to him in I Love Lucy. This may be because was too great of a threat to the style of music Ricky was doing. The Tennessee Ernie Ford cousin would absolutely have not been enough to get the Ricardos out of New York. When you had Elvis roaming around in the music industry, you actually had a real life threat to his the music career of Ricky.
“Well here we are, all alone in the country” “Yup, here we are” “What do we do all alone in the country?” “I don’t know” “I got an idea” “What?” “Let’s go to the city”😂😂😂😂
It’s the funniest episode of all. I’ve watched fifty times. Never gets old. I know you’re not supposed to laugh if someone hurts thesmselves But I can’t help laughing
Lucy was not an improvisational genius, she had a vision of what was funny, and rehearsed it, again and again, until it was perfectly funny... Comic genius, of the highest order, is Lucy.
I know right?! I believe because she was so studied as a comedian Thanks to Buster Keaton she ended up pulling off that geisha comedy routine hilariously without being insulting to the Japanese people.
I get sad because we are not in the 1950s and because Ricky and Lucy divorced and because I miss my dad, mom, and 2 sisters who are with our Lord now. Acts 11 14 and Acts 16:31, but what does make me happy is that I will see them again. And what makes me happy is that Desi Arnez and Lucille Ball really did love each other. I only wish that they would of stayed together growing old together like George and Gracie Burns. And like Bob Hope and his wife. I love lucy shows have brought me so much happiness.💜🙋♀️
Bob Hope and his wife had a marriage of accommodation. He had more affairs or 1 night stands than anymore - after while his wife lived in quarters or a separate house on the property - guess she had enough of all the many years of philandering. Burns was
Burns was faithful to Gracie Allen except one time. He was telling his friend of many years Jack Benny on the phone about how badly he felt about it, Gracie was on another line. He ended up buying her something (I forgot what) and they never discussed the situation - she was known to say to a friend I hope George has another affair, I need more of X (what he bought for her) the whole story showed how much they knew each other and cared for each other. Hope, Arnaz and the rest of them serial philanderers.
@@LJ-ht4zs how sad, alot of men are unfaithful to their wives, like it says in the bible, we are all sinners, I just wish people would keep their vows and stay only with the one they marries, that would be great,♥️🤷♀️💜🙏
@@esmeraldamontoya8176 True it was really sad. Lucille divorced Desi even though she still loved him, just couldn't take it anymore. Hope's wife did not divorce him but obviously it was her way of detaching from him.
