I watched this episode with my grandma . Of course she had to explain it to me cuz I wasn't born when this show was around. Ever sense then I been hooked on I love lucy. Grandma was passed away when I was 21 so watching this show cheers me up .
“Well here we are, all alone in the country” “Yup, here we are” “What do we do all alone in the country?” “I don’t know” “I got an idea” “What?” “Let’s go to the city”😂😂😂😂
The whole episode is really funny! Love it when it's just the main cast and a great prop! The Ca. 1st stop with the little shack has me on the floor laughing every time!!!
I love this episode, so funny. And I can relate... I'm from NYC, first time I visited someone in the country, that first night was so unnerving. The noises you're used to hearing at night are gone, and you hear a lot of stuff you're not used to, it feels so surreal and it's a bit scary, every scary book or movie on crazy killers sneaking around in the woods comes to your mind lol.
I’m scared of the country and hearing wild animals howling at the moon. Definitely and worse is if there are crazy people out there. Crazies scare me even more.
I reacted the very same way when I moved to Montana from Long Beach,CA. The first night I hardly got any sleep, it was so unnervingly quiet and SO damn dark
I knew this was going to be hilarious when they walked (sneaked) in unison across the flooring in matching pajamas. Then Ricky steps on something...oh man, I died laughing!
@@pegasusgalaxy68 I think I heard somewhere that back then they used to sell the house plans to this "house" so anyone who wanted a house modeled after the Ricardo's could do so.
It’s the funniest episode of all. I’ve watched fifty times. Never gets old. I know you’re not supposed to laugh if someone hurts thesmselves But I can’t help laughing
This was a funny episode! I like how they moved to the country only to find out that it can be scary at times being alone and far away from everyone. That’s the downside of country living. That and bears roaming around looking for food. Depending on how far you are in the country. Usually it’s coyotes. At the same time, I’m sad about this episode because it was near the end of the show. Once they moved away from Fred and Ethel, it wasn’t the same. The whole dynamic changed then. And it wasn’t as funny anymore. Everyone needs a foil to play off of. Once you remove that, you have nothing.
My favorite episode i watch it every night. One question... when Ricky hits his toe on the table and is in pain was that part of the script or did was he in pain for real. It looked liked he really didn't see that table when he banged his toe 🤔🤔
Ricky's got some "splaining" to do to the fellas in the band. He has the money to move to Connecticut and commute and also raids the music conservatories . . . regularly.
I get sad because we are not in the 1950s and because Ricky and Lucy divorced and because I miss my dad, mom, and 2 sisters who are with our Lord now. Acts 11 14 and Acts 16:31, but what does make me happy is that I will see them again. And what makes me happy is that Desi Arnez and Lucille Ball really did love each other. I only wish that they would of stayed together growing old together like George and Gracie Burns. And like Bob Hope and his wife. I love lucy shows have brought me so much happiness.💜🙋♀️
Bob Hope and his wife had a marriage of accommodation. He had more affairs or 1 night stands than anymore - after while his wife lived in quarters or a separate house on the property - guess she had enough of all the many years of philandering. Burns was
Burns was faithful to Gracie Allen except one time. He was telling his friend of many years Jack Benny on the phone about how badly he felt about it, Gracie was on another line. He ended up buying her something (I forgot what) and they never discussed the situation - she was known to say to a friend I hope George has another affair, I need more of X (what he bought for her) the whole story showed how much they knew each other and cared for each other. Hope, Arnaz and the rest of them serial philanderers.
@@LJ-ht4zs how sad, alot of men are unfaithful to their wives, like it says in the bible, we are all sinners, I just wish people would keep their vows and stay only with the one they marries, that would be great,♥️🤷♀️💜🙏
@@esmeraldamontoya8176 True it was really sad. Lucille divorced Desi even though she still loved him, just couldn't take it anymore. Hope's wife did not divorce him but obviously it was her way of detaching from him.
Unfortunately, I find it to be no coincidence that the move to the country would occur with country boy Elvis Presley's rise in prominence. I have struggled to find references to him in I Love Lucy. This may be because was too great of a threat to the style of music Ricky was doing. The Tennessee Ernie Ford cousin would absolutely have not been enough to get the Ricardos out of New York. When you had Elvis roaming around in the music industry, you actually had a real life threat to his the music career of Ricky.
Fred and Ethel Mertz.. they decided to take the train from NYC to Bridgeport CT, and then they walked from the train station to the Ricardo's house, only to find, what they THOUGHT, was no one home. So, they went outside, and that's when Lucy and Ricky woke up, heard noises and came downstairs to investigate.. the rest of the story is the video.
