Hello! I'm Marion and I sew, stitch, craft and garden in a little village in the North East of England near the beautiful Durham Dales. I have lots of creative hobbies. I make my own clothes, knit, crochet, embroider, slow stitch and paint... In fact, the list is almost endless, as I'm interested in just about everything!
This is the place to come to find out what I'm up to. Everyone is welcome to see what's going on in Marion's World!
You can find my Green Man Bags at Marion's World Shop...
Just adore your acorns the cutest ! I am going to be sad when this is finished I love watching you each step. I know you have so many other projects that need your attention..😂😂❤️❤️❤️ hugs 🇨🇦
I love Jacobean needlework, and yours is looking so pretty. I enjoy the different colors being used instead of using a realistic color theme. Thanks for sharing.
I learned crewel work on the Jacobean style but I never really cared for it. But I’m loving yours! Tastes change I guess. Have you tried the heat removing pens. When you need to remove it you just use a hair dryer and it disappears. Just FYI 😊🥰
Good morning Marion 🤗🤗 Rain all night here too at Mollymook Beach, cold & breezy, but we need it after all the very windy days we've been having. The garden is very dry !!!! Your garden will be loving the rain too xXxX Your crewel embroidery is so lovely Marion, the colours are so beautiful & until I saw your work I would never have put those colours together, but they sure do look grand xXxX Blanket stitch ....but not through the cloth .....only you could have thought of that 🤗Happy stitching 😎😍
Marion love the new colors! I am basically trying to match your colors as best I can. Im.sure they are not exact but not too different. Trying new stitches or versions of stitches has been terrific. Thank you for variety and your patient explanations and reasoning. It's how we learn I think. Im already wondering what your next page will be 🤔❤ perhaps at the end I can do an outline of a squirrel? Goes with fall and acorns 😂
Marion, your color combos are so pretty, would never thought about combining them and they look amazing. I am 2 pages behind on my stitching journal, so you will need to wait a wee bit to see what I come up with 😮
Fabulous!! My son actually likes to cook! And I have a gray (his favorite) pair of brand new jeans that I ordered on sale and they came too large so now I know what to do with them!! Yay! Thank you! 💕Donna
Simply amazing to me how you decide your designs, thread colors, patterns you will use and how beautifully it all comes together! Thank you for sharing.
This is exquisite! I love to crochet but I'm not much of a quilter. This looks like a project I could actually do! And it's so unique!! Thank you ever so much for sharing your talents and your pattern!!! 💜
This continues to be delightful to watch. As for your rain, let me know in inches how much you get. South Georgia here in the US is scheduled to receive a lot this week as Hurricane Helene will come right over my little town tomorrow night. We are hoping the wind will have slowed as we are about a hundred miles inland from the forcast landfall.
Hi Marion! Beautiful work as usual. I really like the pink and green leaf. You are a star ⭐️! I have been watching your older videos. Lately I’ve been watching your advent ones. I love them all😊.
Good Morning Marion from Down Under. I am currently in the process of embroidering 25 squares for a quilt. Every time I draw a design I think "right THIS time I will be more adventurous with my stitches". However, I keep going back to various forms of satin stitch. as I am never sure how things will look if not completely coloured in. This tutorial has given me the confidence to give it a go. Thanks for that. Keep the videos coming.
It must be raining everywhere. It even rained on Uluru yesterday. You might know it as Ayres Rock in the middle of Australia. And rain on the rock is very rare. And here on the east coast we are expecting showers today with a lot more tomorrow.
