Edit: Browsing the Steam Community Hub for the game, I found a post from the developer that confirms that their Ironworks Games studio has no relation to Slipgate Ironworks. -- No, I don't believe so. Ironworks is out of Australia, and Slipgate Ironworks appears to be out of Denmark. Though I know some studio subsidiaries are split up in separate countries, I don't believe this is one of those cases.

IF you have trouble finding my Steam configs: With your controller plugged in while Steam is open, you should see a little controller icon on the game page, (the page that displays when you go to your game library and select a game). The little controller icon is going to be on the right side next to the settings icon for the game. Once you click that you will have to 'Enable Steam Input', and in there you should see an option to customize controller layout and then search for community layouts. I show this in the video at 4:42. If you still can't find it, I recommend trying Steam in 'Big Picture Mode', which makes the interface more like a console. If you still have some trouble I recommend looking up a video specifically for Big Picture Mode or Steam controller layouts. Alternatively when you're on the page for the game in your library (like at 1:36 in the video) you should see a tab that says 'Guides'. In there you can find my guide for controller layouts and it will have direct links you can click on for my Steam configs. If the links in the guide don't work for you, you may have to open the Steam console and paste the appropriate link, like this: Open steam console: steam://open/console Then the command: open [desired link]

Try going to the Community Guides tab on the games page, from your library. You should find it all there. The steam links should still work as far as I know, but will have to test later. They only work within the steam browser, and not a regular internet browser. For searching, I believe you have to put a space between Arze and Poetic, or perhaps without. @rapidragekade6901 dude.. chill the hell out. I can tell you barely watched any of the video before commenting. The Steam configs are there you clearly are just having issues finding them. You can Google search: "ready or not arze poetic controller guide" and if you scroll down you will find the Steam "Intuitive Controller Guide", which has all of the links to the steam configs. Like I said, Steam controller config links don't work in a regular internet browser... You don't have to use reWASD, I just have been using it for years because they offer a lot more features that are useful for controlling your PC outside of Steam. And yes I built my own website, and made this guide because I love playing with controller, and love helping people. I barely have any subscribers and so I don't make any money on any of this.

@ArzePoetic
@ArzePoetic 5 месяцев назад
@fedoraiver I think you will be able to do all the controllee macros you need with reWASD. I feel you about the Xbox layout; it's fine, but I prefer PS layout as well. There are a couple of options worth considering, I think: 1. Dualsense Edge only has 2 paddles, but they are recognized in reWASD. The 2 thumbstick buttons for switching profiles all register also, so you technically have 4 extra remappable buttons with the Dualsense Edge; it's just that those thumbstick ones aren't good for quick keys/macros. However, I've seen online people mod the Dualsense Edge so that they have extra buttons connected to them by the shoulder buttons (serious work but maybe worth it). 2. Playstation Access Controller might be worth considering, if you're open to having a second device for hotkeys / macros. It's form factor allows some flexibility for simultaneous use with your regular controller, and reWASD can see the PS Access as a Dualsense. You could even use your foot if you wanted lol. So basically, it would be like having 2 Dualsenses at once. My dream controller is a Scuf Reflex with 2 SAX buttons, and the ability to have all the paddles and SAX buttons register in reWASD. But if they make a Dualsense Edge V2, with 4 back paddles that might come close.
@aweigh1010
@aweigh1010 7 месяцев назад
I'm loving my Envision Pro but I should mention the following caveat: I don't use the iCue software, so the majority of people's biggest complaint does not apply to me. I only ever turned it on the first time, to make the controller 'register' on the PC, and have never used it again.
@ArzePoetic

That's awesome! iCUE is definitely the biggest flaw with this controller, and I totally would have kept it if I could remap those G buttons and SAX keys with something like reWASD, or even Steam Input. Thanks for watching! Not really, it's still holding up fairly well! I noticed some very light stick drift about 10 months in, but it was initially only noticeable when I turned down the dead zone to 0. Even so, it seems to have gone away after taking apart and blowing out the stick modules. I actually swapped out the battery to a bigger one, and replaced the default membrane face buttons with an ExtremeRate clicky switch upgrade. Funny story, I actually took it apart so many times that I accidentally ripped off the power connector for the battery and had to learn on the spot how to re-solder it. I was eventually successful, though, and I still got it working.

No prob! Honestly the 4 paddles are the only reason I use the Reflex over the Dualsense Edge. I much prefer the ability to replace the thumbsticks just in case, but I really do use all 4 paddles and find it hard to go back to only 2. Also, no it's not hard, I'd just recommend looking up some videos on cleaning the potentiometer modules, or a Scuf Reflex disassembly guide. I think I used Uber Micro Repair's videos.

Thanks for this honest review. This controller looks perfect on paper for me but I know from past experience (and trying to pair a mouse) that the ICUE software is absolute garbage and is a ongoing battle. My £100 Corsair M65 wireless FPS mouse is unusable for what I wanted it for (mapping) because of ICUE stability. No chance in hell I'm relying on it for a controller. A massive shame. Is there an alternative out there with the five G keys? (which is I want for a PC controller).

Dang, I have iCue still installed for my Corsair Virtuoso headset, but only to update it every once in a while, and I never actually use it otherwise. Such a shame that iCue sucks so much. Unfortunately, to my knowledge, there is still no other controller with as many separate inputs as this one has, and I think the closest thing is still the Flydigi Vader 3 Pro. I'm assuming they'll release a Vader 4 Pro at some point this year since they recently released the Apex 4, so maybe there'll be additional buttons / improvements on the next one. Great review, very thorough. I absolutely wanted to love this controller but for the price tag it needed to be perfect. I've owned an Envision Pro from bestbuy and a custom Envision Pro directly from SCUF. The bestbuy purchase had mild stick drift out of the box (4% deadzone to fix) and the custom order was even better at the start (2% deadzone). But after about a month of owning the custom the right stick got worse and worse until it needed an 8% deadzone minimum to stop it from drifting. Ended up returning both controllers and bought a Vader 3 Pro. Doesn't feel as good or premium as the Envision Pro but the vader was less than half the price and has (virtually) no stick drift. If scuf releases an updated Envision Pro I would absolutely consider buying one. But until then, not good enough.
@ArzePoetic
@ArzePoetic 8 месяцев назад
💯! Thank you! That sucks, but I totally agree. I'm eager to see what an Envision Pro V2 would look like, or even a Scuf Reflex V2. Maybe they'll add Hall Effect sticks on the next one, which should have little to no drift. My ideal controller would be something like a Scuf Reflex with SAX buttons, Hall Effect sticks, and the ability to separately map paddles without having to use iCue. The Vader 3 seems to be the next best thing that ticks all of the same boxes as the Envision, and more (gyro, hall effect sticks). My worry was about the build quality and feel of triggers / back buttons based on what I've seen others say, but it's hard to argue with what you get for that price. Maybe the Vader 4 Pro will step things up a bit too. We'll see!

Bro what’s your opinion on the KK3 Max vs this ? I have the KK3 and it’s fine so far no lag issues or anything, but the paddles aren’t the most comfortable, you think switching to this is better for the triggers alone ?
@ArzePoetic
@ArzePoetic 9 месяцев назад
I would say probably not worth it, just because the iCue software issues and lack of Gyro. From what I've gathered the KK3 Max has gyro on top of all the other core pro controller features (4 paddles, etc.), for less than half the price of the Envision Pro. My only concerns with the KK3 were that I've seen some say the gyro only works in the Switch mode, which has noticeably more issues with connectivity / latency. The buttons and triggers are also reportedly not great, but I think it's a fair tradeoff considering the price relevant to the competition. So essentially pay $100 more for nice triggers, SAX buttons, removal of gyro, and shitty software to run it all through... I think pass for now, unless the software really gets ironed out properly. It all depends how much you value those triggers and paddles, which are pretty sweet, and also if gyro matters to you at all. I personally would still recommend the Reflex over this, but the Reflex starts at an extra $20 on top of the Envision Pro for the base model. At least you could also use the Reflex on PS5 though.

the reason that this controller has no gyro is because it does not have a ps5 or ps4 or swithc mode (but with these mode you would not have back buttons). It is because xinput does not support gyro. Again microsoft is the reson that whe cant have nice things. I aw a video of someone installinga gyro sensior i an old controller. but i dont konow if that will be picked up by windows. The only solution would be if theire is a controller with all of the features of this controller, but with software that supports the gyro. or microsoft finally suports gyro on xinput. For example flydigi controllers are fully supported on rewasd and have 4 back buttons withc allows for uniqeu mapping instead of copy's of existing inputs. But the build quelity is not that great. and the halll effect sticks seeme to be bad. But the flydigi vaddr 3 pro has micro swithces for the face buttons and the trigger locks. but the back button layout is not as great as the envision.

That makes sense, though it sucks. This is why I gravitate towards PS5 Pro Controllers, as they are the most feature complete (gyro, touchpad, mute button), is a nice benefit that I could use them for both PC and PS5. The Dualsense Edge has its 4 extra buttons separately mappable in reWASD too, so if Sony just made a Version 2.0 that had 4 back paddles, that might be one of the best controllers. Even better if they were able to throw in something like SAX buttons, though I'd still be happy with a Scuf Reflex 2.0 with SAX buttons and Hall Effect joysticks. Even if the Envision (or maybe Envision 2.0) had Gyro, I still see people in reddit complaining all the time about the iCue problems, so I'm less confident that it would be reliable enough long term. Even though the Vader 3 Pro might not have great back buttons or build quality, it still seems worth considering for its price. Maybe the Vader 4 Pro will be even better.

@@ArzePoetic but the controller could have software onboard to translate mouse to gyro. this is what the Alpakka controller does. The alpakka is a 3d printed controller with 2 gyro sensors and a touch capacative hexacon between the face buttons. you can adjust the hex sensitivty or the gyro sensitivty on the controller itself. although the build quality is not as great as the envision. it does have the best gyro out theire. but you have to rely on qa gyro method that is called ratcheting. ratcheting is when you use a button to activate or deactivate the gyro. so you can reposition your controller. just like picing up a mouse from the gamepad.
@ArzePoetic
@ArzePoetic 28 дней назад
@caleasthetic You mean translate from gyro to mouse? I've been interested in that Alpakka controller, as I think the dual gyro solution with capacitive activation is really cool. The thing is, since the Envision doesn't have gyroscopes at all, I don't see how it could emulate gyro input at all through onboard software alone. A new revision or iteration of the controller would need at least 1 gyroscope to have that functionality. Also, for regular analog stick to mouse emulation, I'm not sure the Envision has any on-board capability of that in its current state. If they added mouse input as an option in iCue, and it was able to save that setting to the on-board memory profiles, then that'd be awesome. Still though, I think if they want to build a more compelling PC controller they need both a good gyro implementation and mouse input capability. The Alpakka seems to be leagues ahead in those 2 regards.

What's the alternative then, the reflex?
@ArzePoetic
@ArzePoetic 9 месяцев назад
Well, I would recommend the Reflex if you want 4 paddles, or Dualsense Edge if you're ok with only 2; but they are both even more expensive than the Envision. However, I think the FlyDigi Vader 3 Pro is a really good competitor that is much cheaper if you're ok with PC only. @@MrPazuzu

I went through the ringer my first week with this controller. 10 hrs of troubleshooting. So I’ll save some headache. If ur controller is shooting on its own or triggers are not working. It’s the icue trigger deadzones. This controller is so responsive and sensitive when set to 0-3 or so it’s just to crazy In game. So I just bumped up until it didn’t do it whatsoever. I am 7/7 in icue software and then. It was perfect. So I’m game like Warzone u can lower deadzones low. Thumbsticks I’m icue I run 2/2 deadzones Hope this helps.

USB dongles usually do better compared to Bluetooth for sure. When it works the Envision is dope, but I'm prefectly happy with the Dualsense wireless response time - just wish it had SAX buttons!

Yeah as soon as I heard this controller had no gyro, it was an instant redflag. The flydigi vader 3 pro is awesome, but the Dualsense gyro is still the top dog for multiplayer shooters.

Good to know! If I pick up the Vader I'll be sure to cover that. Yeah, I initially assumed the Envision had gyro because it honestly should have. I only realized it didn't when I put the actual order in. I hope Sony releases a Dualsense Edge V2 with 4 back paddles eventually, and it would also be dope if Scuf's next controller has HE sticks, Gyro and SAX buttons, perhaps a Reflex V2.

@ArzePoetic
@ArzePoetic 10 месяцев назад
Crazy right? I totally expected the lack of in-depth settings and everything (to a degree), considering that controller software is new territory for Scuf / Corsair; but I did not expect to have this much issue with just basic use. I've also been perplexed at how many people are having this issue. But I think it shows that it was not ready for full release. I reached out to Scuf with an extensive suggestion for them to work with the reWASD team for native support, since they are open to working with manufacturers directly. I don't anticipate the reWASD team would have the same issues if given the right tools to work with the Envision.

Dang.. that sucks. You might want to restart it a couple more times and keep trying. You could also try uninstalling and reinstalling iCue, and maybe going to Windows Device Manager to uninstall the controller while it is plugged in. If you continue to have issues I would reach out to Scuf Support and they can help since there is a 1 year warranty. They'll probably just give you a new controller once you send yours back.@@Haverr

Spent 10hrs fixing shit. For instance Warzone it was shooting on its own or not workin at all. Increasing the trigger deadZone to 3 or higher until it works. For me 7/7 in icue settings worked. Then u can go real low like 2/2 in game. The triggers by default are just that sensitive and responsive Wish I knew that prior. Hope this helps.

Lol! It's all about where they are placed. The SAX buttons are great because they are where your fingers would normally be anyways, and same with the back paddles. Those 5 G keys are the only ones that are kind of a stretch, but it only makes sense to use the thumbs on those. You'd have to go ultra claw if they were all up at the top though.
