Important details I did not mention: 1. No HE (Hall Effect) thumbsticks 2. No Gyro support I received mine today (11/07/23), so expect a full review in the future!
Can you please connect this controller to pc VIA "STEAM" and let your pc only users know if you can re-bind every button, stick, peddles, etc. Everything! when connected to STEAM BIG PICTURE MODE (please note you must enable steam input for "ps5 & or Generic" controller in settings >controller first) "NOT USING THE ICUE SOFTWARE ONLY THROUGH STEAM BIG PICTURE MODE"
It's going to be a while before I finish my review, but I wanted to let you know ahead of time that it looks like you have to use iCUE for remapping the additional inputs in the way you describe. I uninstalled iCUE (already had it) and tried to use with Steam only, and had some issues. You can only remap regular controller inputs on the fly, but not macros, or mouse / keyboard keys. If there's a solution I find, I'll let you know.
Lol! I hear you though, that's kinda how I feel about it too. If I didn't already have the Reflex, I would likely just choose that over this. I suppose it depends how much you game on PC and if you have controllers already for other systems you do play on. One glaring oversight I didn't mention is lack of gyro support, which sucks because I actually use gyro sometimes.
@@ArzePoetichi. The pro is currently out of stock. I personally don’t care about wireless connection since I always like my controllers wired and I also don’t care about mouse click triggers. My only concern is the back grips. Do you recommend the regular version?
@elijnr I imagine the standard grip is similar to a stock PS or Xbox controller, meaning a smooth plastic grip. If you're ok with that, I think you'd be fine. Mine should be delivered in a couple of days so I can't say for sure how nice the Pro Grips are, but if it's similar to the Reflex Pro then it should be a nice comfy bonus, but not necessarily a game changer. Depends on your tolerance for the regular plastic feel I suppose, so YMMV. They do normally have a 30 day return policy, and right now it looks like they have an extended holiday return period that goes all the way through 01/16. The catch is a 15% restocking fee, but that might be worth giving it a try. You could also find 3rd party rubber grips that stick to the controller.
Yes, at least for right now. When the Reflex launched there were only three same 3 colors across the different models as well, but now they have a whole customization option when you order. I'm pretty sure they'll do the same with the Envision, so eventually there should be a lot more to choose from.
Turns out they already added the customization options! You can deck it out in a bunch of different ways, down to individual colors for buttons and such. Just ordered mine, but I went for all black.
