Well ....I have a x3m competition.....and just bought one of these as well, that is how much I enjoy driving it. So I have the luxury of both, I wanted a 911 which I drove but it's stupid expensive compared to this, and this car honestly filled my need for fun that I wanted in the 911, it's that much fun to drive, and my x3m comp, is a beast with 500hp and very high tech, but my coupe now being simple and raw with a 6 speed manual is a blast and comfortable to drive. Lots of torque even in 6 on the highway don't need to downshift to 5 or 4 surprisingly. And a used one is about 13k Canadian, tons of bang for the buck.
I've got a 2017 VW Gti PP manual, but if I'm honest I thought the handling would be better, or at least more feel in the handling, yes it's fast 245Bhp, but how fast can you really go, I want lots of feel from a car, and I feel the steering is too light, even in Sport Mode, brakes could have more grab and feel, however it is a great place to be, and a great all rounder.
just watched this video from 9 years ago. Rory hasn't changed a bit. Still doing great job now with AutoTrader. I am actually looking at getting Mini JCW as this is still a great, fun car.
Agree with your comments about the steering... though quite a few reviewers have commented on the steering being too light and lacking feedback... Had my F Pace for a little over a week now and it drives beautifully, especially in the S position on the selector and in dynamic.
Things people ignore about the sills on the Elise/Exige. 1. The car was designed as a track car to be used on the road, not the other way around. 2. The sills are incredibly strong and protect the occupant way more than a lower silled ‘conventional’ car would do, plus the doors have a huge aluminium impact bar in them too. 3. Other super car type cars have exactly the same issue as the Lotus does, but cost vastly more than the Lotus. 4. The method of Ingress/egress is learned and has never been a problem to me and actually adds to the experience. 5. The uniqueness of the means of access makes the car more fun & more of an experience than any conventional sports car. 6. If you want convenience then buy a dullard estate car & then you can complain about the slowness, it’s poor handling & how boring it is. 7. Aluminium chassis & sills are lightweight and do not rust. Steel bodied cars way more, make the car slower & definitely rust.
Nice video , impressive cars , the thing is , they don’t move me as the old RR from 50’s 60’s and 70’s … for me , the amazing original Silver Cloud , with RR engine , is the real deal , with a heart and soul , and charisma of true Rolls Royce … to me , putting cars together with German parts is not what I’m looking for in RR …
I liked this video it explained in more detail the building of a Rolls. However, with all this expense and detail to the build, there seems to be still a few quality issues with the driveline and suspension.
The boot lid release is exactly why I pass on this car. This manufacturer can’t even get a boot release right. It’s called shoddy engineering and workmanship and these cars are full of it.
I'm looking to buy an old F-pace and searching youtube for 3 days for a good review super dissapointed Rory from Top Gear and Autotrader never did a review on it THEN I STUMBLE ON THIS CHANNEL AND ITS FUCKING HIM!
Lets be honest. Beautiful in the first place. Just perfect balance between , race -agressivity and sexy, shows anger and speed, and this color theme is awesome
