In our area of California the people with more money tip less. It’s the regular people that tip good.I noticed doordash orders are sent to us before the orders reach restaurants. The orders are delayed most of the time. I talk to workers at restaurants and sometimes they haven’t received orders yet that I’m asking for. Uber is usually ready unless it’s 7-11 or McDonald’s.
I do Door Dash, Uber, and Grubhub. I was on a wait list for GH for forever before I finally got on. Now I’ve been trying to get on Spark but there’s no openings in my area. I don’t deliver full time. I do have a w-2 job that I absolutely love 😊

They probably dezervs d it but customers do the same thing and are still allowed on the platform. As far as not turning off the camera is the business decision he should have just been banned from taking orders at starbuks
Companies can ask the world what they want, doesnt mean its the law though... People can legally by law record, but to expose names and faces needs a judge in the court of law, after all mainstream media gets away with exposing names and faces!!! Why cant us peon humans do it?????? All them big corps that film there own employees are allowed to record to make sure they can account for everything done in there business.. There was an uber driver that was harrassed by a drunk gay guy. That film got sent to the media and they played it on the news with faces exposed... I think everyone should be able to record in a restaurant and show it to the world!!! After all my eyes are not stapled shut by there employees when I walk in,,,, so why can I not share what I seen with my own eyes!!! One day we wont need cameras to share what we see!!! In our near future we will be telepathic!!!!
Its easy, dont film where your being asked not to and dont share peoples private info when you know you shouldnt. They both did things they shouldnt of so its on them for not following the rules. Sorry not sorry🤷🏼♀️

People losing their jobs all over the place for things they put on social media, famous people getting cancelled, not surprised DD is now hitting the content creators where it hurts. I couldn’t watch Pedro anymore. I couldn’t take one more of his vids talking about hit his viewers complain and have bad attitudes towards DD and then 2 episodes later he’s worse than any viewer. He also never took into consideration that not everyone lives in a market like his (and I suspect much of that wasn’t true), he he never had vids/info for those in lesser-earning markets except stupid comments like “you gotta change with the apps” or some “philosophy” be came up with. For years he’s gone on about how people shouldn’t depend on the apps and only used them as a bridge to something else, but there he was daily doing the same old thing and making money off of us viewers. The same repeated topics, ie, “is it time to move on?” Yet if we moved on he’d lose the income. 90% of the time he’d start a video with “I’m not going to make this about my opinion - I’m leaving my opinion out” but then dominate the entire thing with his opinion OR his opinion of someone’s opinion. Personally I can’t think of anything more boring or stupid or pointless (for me) than to watch someone else do the exact same thing I’m doing. What is the point of that?
Both deactivation were the result of them they can’t show person info and they can’t be confrontational with restaurant being Chuck was ban from Chick fil A as well so doordash will always take a restaurant side
Pedro is a clown and his true colors are showing. You can’t expect to act like him and NOT get deactivated. He can’t keep his cool and now he’s paying for it. You can’t show somebody’s name on your channel while you’re blasting them. And the other “really nice guy” could have just shut the camera off. Both warranted.
I think it’s funny that just because you’ve interacted with Pedro, and claim to be friends, you both are blind to the fact that he has a very dark side to him. I highly doubt you’d want your son to listen to his extreme foul mouth,using terrible language about how those last two customers and DoorDash could suck his private parts. He’s absolutely lost his way!
For the record, I enjoy your channel, but I’m thinking you don’t want to acknowledge the truth about Pedro’s many misdeeds because imho I’m guessing he might get informed that that any mindful folks, which I consider you both to be, would have to conclude he absolutely deserved to get deactivated from DD. It’d be refreshing if you’d at least reply to the concerns about the legitimate reasons for both Chuck and Pedro removal to the multiple comments here, come on Lou! 🙄
Ladies n Gentlemen, if I owned a restaurant or coffee shop Id love for the public to be able to record what they saw, I dont want my employeess peeing and pooping into the customers products!!! I feel if you are punished for recording into my shops then we must be doing something wrong!!! After all its not like I am asking if you want to order food here then you must shut ur eyes!!!!! The recording mechanisms, cameras , go pro's, etc.. are nothing but extensions off of your eyes!!! When starbucks bans drivers for see'ing then they are up to bad practices!!! END OF STORY!!!! Does starbucks not know that the the world now has contact lenses that can record aswell???? What is starbucks hiding is my question!!!!
im pretty sure i watched chuck from dashing across america walk into the starbucks and ask them to get on their tablet and have him removed bcs he didnt want to pick up from there anymore. that starbucks manager had been giving him shit over the camera and other stuf for a long time so he probably just called DD and said 'i dont like this guy, i feel unsafe' and then DD gave chuck the axe. i still watch his videos cuz he gives great positive vibes
Either way, lets say I owned a coffee shop, Id have no problem with delivery drivers coming in and filming!!! 100% aslong as I trained my employees right!!!! Every day I dream of owning my own restaurants and various shops, if the public cant record what they saw, than am I really fit to be an owner or leader of my shops that I run....????? I mean if my employees pee'd and pooped into the cups of the products then should I get mad at a deliver driver that delivers my products to the '''customers'''????? Ask yourself that??? What on earth do humans want to ingest into there bodys if your delivery driver cant record on the practices that these restaurants are putting into ur food????? It’s private property. They can film you and ask you to leave if they want. They’re also not uploading the footage to a RU-vid channel talking about how bad of a delivery driver you are. If Chuck was just filming and not posting it I doubt they would have cared, but he was using their store for content and trashing it.
I never piss anyone off, argue with employees at stores, Polite, all customers even if rude, don't record. I have been treated poorly by employees at a store but just smiled and apologized. It works for me been doing DD for 6 yrs and other apps 8 0 issues besides Spark deactivated me. I don't care by spark so not upset about it.
Pedro was once my biggest idol of gig work, I really liked him and his motivational talks, I became disgusted when the public relations of DD reached out to him to ask his audience quesitons, shortly after I had to unsubcribe from pedro's channel, because why on earth would I want to fuel the algorithm that public relations really works for.... Did they not pay the contractors millions that developed it and why would I want to be a part of them evolving the algorithm to rip us off more and more!!!
11:12 even with these gig apps, yeah its a big question on all the stolen money from wage theft which leads to a big investigation on the ''charity organizations'' that step in to collect everytime the gig apps have articles on ''drivers getting back paid'' on wage theft which u can find multiple articles on DD and others having to give money to charity organizations on the theft of basepay when customers tip, the higher the tip the more the base pay lowers and lowers!!!! There is going to be a big arrest soon and and the criminal cabal is running out of time!!! Pretty soon we will be able to pay off a vehicle in 6 months and pay off a house in 3yrs... I was deactivated because my selfie error, I was also wearing a hat. And my hair was longer on drivers license - i cut my my hair then selfie didnt match, I was deactivated for 5 half months. I saw a youtube video of dasher got deactivated on same selfie issue. I appealed second time and got reactivated. They looked at selfie and saw it was me. Never give up appealing ive appealed 2 times. We be like... Getting deactivated for anything😅😊
Hi Mary andLou, For tax (1099) purposes do you need to know your tip amounts and base amounts? Or do you just need your total amount earned in total, without the breakdown?
I see both sides of the story for Chuck. But i will say, Starbucks may be open to the public, but it is private property. If they do not allow filming, they can enforce that. I hate it, because Chuck is such a great guy. Always seems to make the best of things best he can. Filming is legal in a public setting (such as a public sidewalk). Filming in private property usually is illegal unless the establishment/property owner allows it. Please, as content creators, know that these public establishments are not public space free to film. Please brush up on your laws and rights. I would just hope that you two understand that as content creators. Be safe, be respectful, and be responsible. -Dank

@@dankstank82I dont know the truth of the technicalities of it,,, Ive seen people walk into cop shops and cop station parking lots and keep recording even when the cops asked them to stop!!! So yeah I dont know all the technicalitys of that stuff to be 100% honest... Ive seen people record everywhere, grocery stores, streets, I mean everywhere and still thousands of dashers recording in restaurants till this day whether the restaurant knows it or not....

I can only speak for dashing across America. He had it coming. He was asked three different times not to record in that particular Starbucks. Then the third time he was asked not to accept any more orders at that restaurant. When he was told to not take any more orders at that restaurant, he told the third manager, they were coming to the store and continue filming when he got an order at the Starbucks, even after being told not to film in that store. Which could be interpreted as a threat. Starbucks had a right to tell him not to record in their store being banned from Doordash was justifiable because he was in the wrong after that particular Starbucks gave two chances. This is why you will never see me record inside a restaurant, unless I am live streaming on part of my shift. Even then you only see my face.
But if starbucks has a right to tell him not to record what he saw,,, then why not just ask humans to shut there eyes when they enter the store????????????? Think about it?????? Whats the point to our existence as a species if we cant report what we saw? Its not not dashing across america went into the bathrooms at starbucks and recorded people on the toilet?
The real reason Chuck got activated on Doordash because he told the second manager about going on the tablet and requesting that he gets removed from taking Starbucks Orders.
@@mafgigecon I believe you are correct. He asked the manager to request for door dash not to send him that specific Starbucks location orders. Because when he declined them it lowered his acceptance rate. He was a platinum dasher and was constantly trying to keep the rolling 100 orders over thirty days. So I think this interaction was what ultimately caused him to get deactivated.
its not against the rules as far as i know. i bring my teenager a couple times a week bcs she gets bored at home on summer break sometimes. the restaurants in our small rural area all love me as a driver and they enjoy seeing my "helper" tag along sometimes. At drop offs the customers frequently give her a smile/wave and ask 'helping out mom today?' or something of the sort
💯 agree that @Dashing Across America seems like a sweet dude. However, naive to take that stance on filming people without permission. Legal or not, definitely not worth any argument with a restaurant. If you don't like a restaurant or their people, don't take it, If it costs Platinum so be it.
If dashing across america worked in a starbucks he may have understood the challanges in politics there business and employees were up against.. Coming from a gig app driver perspective he was right on his end, but yet if he understood the starbucks employee world he'd have not done that... Wisdom comes with time!

They must be especially concerned with anyone taking video. I Like to break down things to nice, simple, and efficient. Getting video of people without consent, isn't nice. Friction with a restaurant isn't efficient for anyone.

It’s very simple. You can record anything and anyone in public as long as you don’t impede personal space. As soon as you enter private places or businesses you can no longer do that and can be trespassed if requested.
As an employee of a company that relies heavily on social media, we have staff that not only create content and find content creators to work with us, they watch for any mention of our company to try to do damage control on anything negative. Im sure DD is watching all of you and deactivating to minimize risk . Pedro showed the woman's first and last name, i personally saw it in the video. There are enough crazy people in the world and people who can maybe track her down It could be DD's liability if this woman starts getting harrassed. With chuck, if you watch the video he was quite irate and ranted about the manager telling him not to film... stated it was his "constitution right" which is bullsh*t.. so i imagine he went off, at least somewhat angrily on that manager. Some of these people get a little too egotistical about their right to create content... and want the drama to get the views.
There was a video of a guy that ran a dealership and got ripped off 500 dollars by a scammer that bought the corvette, the dealership accidently posted the scammers phone number and hundreds of youtubers called the scammer.... But if the human race was telepathic, then what would scammers do, what would the starbucks do? I mean what would entitys and big corporations do if we all humans knew of everything with out recording devices and were telepathic in general?

Bad thing about Dashing Across America was he wouldn't stop filming, even when they asked him to. I watched a video of his today where he went to a day care center and was filming inside. If I were a parent, I would be livid if some strange guy walked into my child's day care and was filming my child. If the store doesn't want you to film, then don't! Use some common sense.
I dont think its illegal to film anyone these days according to the law, after all police wear body cams! I think anyone can film for the sake of there well being and protection now days? I think the issue with Pedro is that he shared the customer’s full name on youtube instead of censoring it. And in a follow up video, he shared his appeal which said he had been warned about doing that in the past.
Theres 10,000 other youtubers that did that, it was a way to shut him up and many others because they taught drivers to think! Think about it those other youtubers never got in trouble defending themselves against scamming customers?
I understand when they ask me to confirm. I don’t understand when THEY want to see my phone and confirm customer name, but then don’t have me confirm pickup in front of them. I have tried to explain it to people a few times that seeing the customer name does nothing really to stop theft. Since they could still cancel order or maybe just too a screen shot and had already canceled. I’m not sure if any have fully understood.
The theft is a major problem!!! If u dont want to show ur phone to them then u must be a part of the theft problem!! I have no problem what so ever showing them my phone and the confirm button!!!! INFACT i honestly think every restaurant should make every single driver confirm the pick up and record it on camera!!!! Its mostly the customers stealing food and some drivers aswell!!! If u cant confirm to the restaurant u are picking up and taking the food then u shouldnt be doing food delivery!!!!
I have never known it as a rule for DD. I know others can be with you now. I know that some pickup locations they won’t let you pickup an order if you have minors or animals in the care or if you’re recording. I know Walmart is known for not allowing these things.
There's a right way to do things and There's a wrong way to do things, you can't make lemonade without the right flavor. The point is you have to be smart like every breath you take, every move you make on how you perceive yourself when handling a situation regarding a customer or merchant to always have poof, details, evidence to always back up your claim for nothing to ever be used or said against you. I know DD is a shady company to work for but I tell people all the time, your word is your bound which holds more weight and power than anything in this world if you stand behind it for people to know you and know what you stand for to fight against anything even if it’s a misunderstanding or error you could easily correct with your words alone. always explore your horizons of opportunities and experience that can benefit you by never putting your eggs in one basket because that’s how you miss out, if you’re not the wiser by taking a chance on something and many possibilities”.
If a restaurant tells you not to film, don't film. Also, don't share customer information. A business is private property, and they are allowed to say no filming. He was asked multiple times to not film and if he refuses to not to to not take orders from there. People may have cell phones, but we shouldn't normalize videoing everyone all the time. It's actually very creepy that people are just wandering about town livestreaming (or videoing) constantly and not caring what they are putting online of others.
Honestly to me it doesn’t even matter if you can technically record something. If you’re asked not to, then just be a decent person and respect it. If someone asks you not to and you respond with some legal jargon then you’ve lost the plot somewhere along the way.
I like how Meaty Momma doesn't show employees or customers faces and is still the best as far as all dashers, respect for people's privacy and a great sense of humor
Just film more and more and always wear a body cam for your protection... After all the restaurants can hire crappy people and bad practices that they do, in the end its you vs them!!! Well if they cant, then what kind of world do we live in? especially in a day in age u can record a cop just doing his job and let the news only post 20% of the vid and let them twist up the story to fit some agenda! Or the other way around in some cases! Recording people only seems the real way to present a truth!!
