Planning on getting a vinyl one, and gluing it to a wooden plate, then buy some high quality weighted pieces.Then for school, a mouse pad board with some big pieces(not the highest quality tho)
Is it not possible to have a mixture of the modes? E.g. each player starts with a 5 minute pool, and each new turn gives a 2 second increment? Ie. total time for each player would be: (300 + 2 x numberOfTurnsTaken) seconds
Does this style clock allow for adding time while a game is in progress? For example, if an illegal move is played the other player would stop the clock, confirm with director, then gain 2 minutes. the game would resume
